How to bulk add/edit genres?

Post by nanite2000 » Thu Jun 20, 2019 11:07 am

Hi!

I've been using MediaMonkey 4 Gold for may years and have built up a large collection of songs with various combinations of genres. Most tracks have multiple genres assigned to them e.g.
  • Funk; Hip-Hop
  • Hip-Hop; Dance; Pop
  • Hip-Hop; Dance; Drum & Bass
I want to add a new genre to thousands of songs. Is there a way to do this in bulk without changing the existing genres already stored on those song?

Thanks!

Select files to add Genre to. Hold down Ctrl key and Drag & Drop the files onto the Genre value in the Genre node in the Media Tree that you want to have added.

Test with 1 file before proceeding with large number.
