Multiple song files

Post by tonybel »

I am just new to MediaMonkey and have added my song files from iTunes. The problem is that I have different file formats (.mp3, .wma, and .m4a) and I end up with some duplicate song entries in the MM library ( eg most commonly with both .wma and .m4a endings) . Firstly how does this happen? And how can I stop this as I only want the one version of the song. Any help would be appreciated.

Duplicate management: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/ind ... ate-tracks

You likely acquired the duplicates over the years or used some program to convert the files. There is nothing in MediaMonkey that would cause the duplicates to happen automatically (although you can manually convert files to other formats).
