Burn CD

Post by bill1433 »

Today I tried something new, burning a CD
with the program. The playlist I picked has 125 selections
on it. I loaded a blank disk and hit the playlist. The program
took off and burned the first 25 songs! All music is in the mp3
format so space wasn’t the issue, any idea what I did wrong? I
am a new user and just got the Gold key. Any help is welcomed,
as I said I’m new here.

Did you burn it as an Audio CD? Those are limited by duration not size of files. A Data CD instead can Burn the files as MP3 files and is limited by size and should fit many more than 25 files.

Hi Lowlander,

Thanks for your reply. I just right clicked on the playlist I picked out
and off she went. The mp3 files are all rock oldies
at about 3 minutes and some seconds in length. It
looks like the program just went down the 120 list and just
burned the first 25. It did not screen or prompt to increase
the size of the burn. If there is a procedure to accomplish this
task, I missed it entirely.

Select files and use Tools > Burn CD/DVD/BD and then it will prompt if you want an Audio or Data CD. You'll need to select Data CD if you want that many files on the disc.

Thanks Lowlander your advice was right on the money.
I re-did the cd as per your instruction and no issues at all.
It would seem that the “help” section for the program is a
bit lacking or I am not using it properly.
