Struggling to play ALAC / MP4

Post by toby_prin »

Hi Team,
I've been going round in circles for days trying to play iTunes MP4 files (just audio)

I have MM4 Gold - 4.1.21.1875
I own the Codec Pack

I have installed ffdshow
I have installed Quicktime

I keep searching in the forums, but keep going back to posts in 2012 which by now I am sure have been fixed!

I'm either missing something really fudging obvious - or something is not right!
If anyone can assist I would greatly appreciate it.

The error messages are
Negative Scalefactor found should be impossible
Gain control not yet implemented

Aaah! iTunes is winding me up!

Does the file play in QuickTime? Which version of the MediaMonkey Codec Pack do you have installed?

MP4 or M4P? I ask because you tie it to ALAC, which is an audio format like M4P.
