Playlist there but faded looking won't play

I have multiple ipods and tons of playlists there faded looking and won't play the playlist on the media tree is faded also I pics but can't figure how to show you

Are the files on the Playlists from the iPods? Then it likely requires the iPods to be connected to be played.
