Accessing Hard Disk on Router

Post by quanghai »

I have my hard disk with all my songs connected directly to my router, a TP-LINK C8. To access the drive on my computer I use the "Run" command and then type \\192.168.0.1, which brings up a window showing the hard drive folder. I have successfully copy, pasted the folder to a music program like Foobar 2000 and been able to play the music. I am at a total loss as to how to access the drive and play my music in MM. I am sure there must be a way.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
You can simply Use same approach of copy paste when you use MMW File -> Add to tracks to library and after that you will be able to normally browse afterwards as we made it possible that MMW remember/force browsing if at least one track from LAN device is added. It is windows issue that do not allocate correctly all LAN resources and Devices, but that is another topic.

HINT: You can copy/paste folder path which have smaller subset of tracks just to make it visible and then browse to add more whenever you need.
