MM no longer displaying my music files

I opened MM this morning to find...nothing. The Music and Playlist options in the Media Tree are empty. I have not made any changes to my computer such as renaming a drive location. I did download the most recent program update, but this was after I discovered the problem. I also went back and installed an earlier version of MM, but no help. I have not been able to find a solution to this specific problem in the User Forum. Help!
