OneDrive Files On-Demand (RS3 / Fall Creators Update)

Having updated to RS3 and the latest OneDrive, placeholders have returned in the new and improved format of "Files On-Demand".

You can see your entire OneDrive contents but only pull down the files you need either in advance or on demand (of course).

Is there a way that MMW can:

• understand the difference between a local file and a remote/cloud only file?
• utilise any ODFOD API's (if they exist) to read the files tags/meta data without forcing the file to be downloaded?

I've just added a folder of cloud only files to MMW and, as expected at this stage, it started to download them all locally.

Ideally it should only download the file if you play it or edit the tags.
