sort order of songs

When Media Monkey lists my songs on my computer, it auto sorts them to alphabetical order. How do I stop this, I want the songs in the order that they are actually in my music folder.

How is your music folder sorted on your computer.

I have mine sorted by e.g. A - album artists name - album name - track

You can sort your library by anything you want. Just click on the column header to sort by.that column. If you want to sort by more than one column press and hold the ctrl key as you sort on the next column.

You can sort on the Path or Filename column.

I'm doing this for a friend and he wants the songs in the order that they are on his cd, which is not sorted by name. When I ripped them from the cd to his computer I found that if I sorted the folder by created by date it put them in the correct order. However, when I look at the same folder in MM, it is sorted alphabetically. I didn't see a way of sorting by created by date in MM, but maybe I missed it. Basically, in MM I do not want any sort of the folder in my Music folder.

Sorting on Album should do the trick unless the files are not tagged correctly. You also have Timestamp and Added as fields to sort on.
