Using Mediamonkey to access OneDrive content

Post by ed.j »

Hi everyone. I have all of my music stored on an external hard drive. That folder is also my OneDrive folder (ie, everything is mirrored in the cloud). The HD is not always attached to my computer. Is it possible to somehow access the cloud copies of OneDrive files via MM when the HD isn't plugged in? Preferably in a "read only" state so that when I plug the HD in again, there aren't conflicts. I don't need anything fancy - being able to access it via a folder structure would be perfect.

If anyone uses BubbleUPnP & accesses their OneDrive content in that way (on Android) - that's exactly what I'd like to be able to achieve on MM.

Thanks

one drive is being changed by ms in October 2015 so I'd hold off and wait to see what they change, I know now they are removing live groups from one drive you have to get your stuff out of any groups you want to keep the stuff from and move it to your files in one drive or your home computer, so if you got any groups you want to keep the stuff from you might want to start saving it now. 8)

You can mount OneDrive as a remote folder using the instruction here:

I haven't tried it so I can't confirm that it works, but it should give you the folder structure access that you want, and apparently this is how recent versions of Office allow saving files directly to OneDrive so I would expect the feature to live through the upcoming changes.
