Upgraded from Win 8 to Win 8.1 and now every time I launch MMW (4.0.7.1511) I get the User Access Control popup requesting admin permission.
Is this a new 'feature' of Win 8.1 or has the upgrade messed something up with MMW?
Any ideas?!

Re: Win 8.1 always requires (UAC) Admin Permission to start
My UAC settings are set at the default setting and I did not observe this after my Win 8 updated to 8.1.
I suspect you have a script or addon installed "For all users" and not "For the current user only" which requires UAC clearance at startup.

It would be in the Program files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\ folder I would guess.

Even after emptying the 'auto' folder (which only had the last.fm scrobbling stuff) it still asks for admin access.
Any other tips?

Weird.
In compatability the option for 'always run as admin' was ticked. I unticked this and it's fine now...
