how to disable unwanted hotkeys

Post by morefire »

hey guys,

I appear to have hotkey functions associated with the left and right arrow keys, which skip backwards or forwards a few seconds in the song that is currently playing. This is a problem, as it means I can't use those arrow keys while trying to edit IDE3 tags.

I've looked in the Hotkeys section of the Options menu, but I can't find any field for the arrow keys to deselect. Given that these keys don't appear in the Hotkey lists, how can I get rid of them?

I'm using MM 3.0.6 by the way.

You're using a really old version of MediaMonkey, current is 4.0.7, so I don't know if any old bug is affecting you. Normally you'd disable/delete hotkeys from Tools > Options > Hotkeys and that's all.

Yeah, I recently built a new computer and installed the latest version of MM on it, but there were a few things about it that bugged me, so I went back and installed the old version. I'd used the same old version for years before this though, and never had this issue... so I have no idea why I'm having this problem now.

so no suggestions then?

6 years later, I'm using the latest version and I have the same problem.

I can not use the left/right arrow keys when editing in place on the grid.

Hi,
Not sure what you are referring too, for me Arrow keys work to inline Edit.

eg. Using Shift+Arrow keys (Left/Right) and F2 to inline edit.
