Files to Edit >Unleveled

Post by billrigsby »

I have been going through my files that need editing to clean things up.
The Files to Edit >Unleveled contained 39,061 which was ALL files.
I ran Tools > Level Track Volume after selecting all files,
The result was now I have 39,003 "Unleveled" tracks after this ran for almost 3 days straight.

I tried a single file an found no difference so I ran them all.

Confused :-?

Files to Edit > Unleveled looks for the level value in the tag (Track Volume and Album Volume) which is generated by Analyze Volume.

Ohh - Kay,
So what does: Tools > Level Track Volume actually do?

Recode the files to match the target volume you have set - use with care :o
Much better to use analyze volume which will just write values to the replaygain tags and leaves your music as is.
