Podcast works on initial setup, but won't update

Long time MM Gold user here.. I've subscribed to a daily podcast for more than a year with no trouble whatsoever. A couple of weeks ago, the owner made some updates to his site which changed the source URL. This meant that I had to go back & set the subscription up in MM again.

Everything seemed to work fine the first day, but the next day I noticed that the podcast wouldn't download the new day's flies. My first thought was that the owner fails to post a new files from time to time, so I checked the source page. New files were there, but MM wouldn't download them via 'update podcast'.

So I deleted the subscription and set it back up. Once again, everything (including the current day's files) downloaded successfully.

I checked the source page again this morning and found today's files. Again, MM wouldn't download them via 'update podcast'. So once again, I deleted the subscription, set it back up, and everything downloaded fine.

For some reason, MM is finding and downloading all of the files when the subscription is initially set up, but it does not find the newest files when it performs an update.

Any ideas? I'm using MM Gold 3.2.5.1306 on Windows 7.

It might have something to do with the fact that this isn't an actual Podcast feed.

You mean it's html and not rss, right? I was thinking the same thing..

But if MM downloads when I set up a new subscription, then why does it not download when I run an update?

Is there another workaround that I should consider? (Please don't say iTunes)

Yes, normally Podcasts are RSS. I was surprised to see MM accepted it, but I don't if MM is designed to handle feeds like this or not.

If you want to read them with MM or any other podcast catcher, you're going to have to contact the webmaster of the site and request an xml or rss feed.
