When I use that option I get:
Couldn't show results.
Socket Error # 11001 Host not found
It was always working but I get this error for last week or so.

I have the same issue. It was working and since the MediaMonkey_4.1.19.1859 update it can't find any metadata. How do I setup the server info I know the network name and password but don't know what to put in for the server info. Can someone help? I rolled back to previous version with no success.

Hi,
Due to changes in Amazon's partner program, Auto-Tag from Web no longer works with Amazon sources. You can still use Auto-Tag from Web with alternative data sources such as Discogs using the third party Discogs Tagger Addon. Aside from the Discogs Tagger Addon, the MediaMonkey Addons page includes several other alternative Thrid Party metadata lookup addons: http://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brows ... ta-lookup/
Moving forward, we'll be integrating alternative Auto-Tag Addons into MediaMonkey 5. If you're adventurous, you can try out MediaMonkey 5 which includes Auto-Tagging from other data sources. It's currently available for testing via the MediaMonkey 5 Beta Testing forum: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 86639&sd=d

Re: Auto tag from web doesn't wotk
So let's be clear here... The "changes in Amazon's partner program" are not a "technical" issue, but rather a financial decision on Ventis Media's part. Other "tag-from-web" applications such as SoftPointer's "Tag&Rename" continue to support tagging audio files in partnership with Amazon. Apparently SoftPointer is more willing than Ventis to manage the financial costs (they have not increased their product price) to insure that their users get consistent value and functionality.

Re: Auto tag from web doesn't wotk
sundiegojc,
To be crystal clear: there is nothing we could have done to prevent this. It isn't a question of payments--it's a question of Amazon changing their policies. We've tried to reach out to them to no avail, as the affiliate relationship worked (or seem to work) to the advantage of both Ventis and Amazon. Moving forward, as Peke explained, we're working on new auto-tagging functionality that will work even better...but that takes time. So for now we're recommending using the Discogs auto-tag addon.
As to Tag&Rename, if you test it out you'll see that they're also experiencing similar issues: using amazon JP/FR/DE/UK as sources seem to fail or return no results--only CA/COM are working for now. With us, amazon JP is working, but others fail. I can't account for the differences, but expect that it's only a matter of time before all amazon sources are shut down.
