Restore deleted files?

Hello --

While synchronizing my Zen Vision M, I got a list of files not on the synch list, to be deleted from my player. I didn't notice that all my audio files were on the list until it was too late. Media Monkey doesn't seem to save these to the library. Is there anyway to restore them?

Most files deleted from removable drives aren't stored in a "recycle" folder. If you haven't added any files to the player yet, you might try using a retrieval program that can restore files after deleted. If you have added files to your player, it's probably not going to work.

Do you know of any retrieval programs that would work with the zen? I'm not sure what the os is on it and I'm assuming that a regular pgm that would work with Windows wouldn't necessarily know what to do with it. Or would it?

I used Norton Utilities myself, but try:

Restore from the Recycle Bin or from a backup external drive.

If you need to use file recovery, take care not to write or download any files to the drive that contains the files that got deleted, or you may accidentally overwrite them.
