Using windows me

All messages boxes including error messages boxes do not display any text. All I see is buttons to click.

sorry but try going to windows update and get any updates it says you need.

if it says you don't have any for winMe. then go to

http://microsoft.com/downloads

and find the latest language updates for you system it might be a few years old but thats the only way i know to get what ever is messed up fixed again on the old winMe computers, and i'd do it fast because theres no telling how long microsoft will keep them old updates on their servers.

I still have this problem. I can't do anything useful because all the message boxes are blank and I have no idea what they are saying. On the songs properties window all the controls labels are empty so I have no clue what anything is referencing.

is that the songs properties in mediamonkey?
or when you right click on the file inside the windows explorer folder.?

it sounds like your missing a font file. which i thought would have been loaded by any of the updates at microsoft.?

OK I failed to add to my original post that this is the non-skinned version I us this on windows me seems to run a lot smoother. Ok when I'm looking at the track properties all the controls captions on every tab are not being displayed. When I click on 'Open URL or File" all I see is the 'OK', 'Cancel' and 'Browse' buttons other then those buttons the window is empty. I
have this problem all over the place 'Tools->Options' same thing is happening. Normal version with skin all text is visible non-skinned version no text. I checked this out on my wife's computer with XP and it does not have this problem.

i believe the none skin version uses the windows desktop text.
try changing the text you have set in your desktop theme to another font and see if that font is seen in mediamonkey's none skinned mode.

I believe the setting for this font is being ignored because I have this same problem on a second computer running windows me and third machine running windows 98. All duplicated this same issue with the non-skinned version. I also tested this running the standard version with the 'Override Skin theme with Windows System theme (requires restart)' checked and have the same problem. I'm going to report this as a bug tonight with an error log file.
