external mp3 encoder

Post by PhoenixBurns »

Hi,

first of all I wanted to say: MM rockz!!! I just love it

I only got one question about the whole prog, is how can I (if possible) configure an external mp3 (eg LAME 3.93) for encoding purposes?

thanks for this great prog and keep up the good work!

MM uses Lame 3.93 as encoder. it has internal support for it or lame_enc.dll which is same lame exept it is in DLL file. When you set MP3 Encoding that means Lame 3.93 maybe the setup options names are changed but they are the same options as in lame 3.93 EXE file.

Happy use.

thanks for the reply,
just another question: suppose a new version of the lame codec is released, is there a way to update, or do I have to wait untill a new version of mm is released? Would it help to rename and replace the dll file you spoke of?

Yap! You only need to replace 'Lame_Enc.dll' in MM install folder and new Lame is fully working. I think that there is no need to restart MM couse it isn't loaded in memory.
