Auto tag from filename help (n00b request) [#15498]

Post by scroon »

Hi all

I have been trying to fix this myself but am stuck on one last part

I have a radio show and I pull all my music from various albums on my computer. So, they all have their original tags.

I want to archive the files and tag them all correctly.

Each week's show has track names in the format of:
[Show title]/[two digit track number] - [Artist] - [Title]
each week will be a various artists compilation.

I've managed to *ALMOST* get tags sorted using the following in tags from filename:

..\..\<Album>\<Track #> - <Artist> - <Title>

everything is spot on *except* for the track number - the script retains the track number in the original tags

there's 500+ shows so I'd prefer not to do this manually - if anyone has any advice that would be gratefully received!

You're showing <Track #> instead of <Track#>.

Hi,
Just as a note MM5 work with both <Track#> and <Track #>

Anyway I added it as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=15498 to evaluate if it is safe to implement in MMW
Best regards,
