Re: MediaMonkey iTunes plugin (d_itunes4.dll)
Hi Mark and Everyone, I just isolated a problem that others might be having that causes the sync to never finish / hang. It's to do with duplicate playlist names. The plugin warns not to use them but usually it just skips one if it finds it. Below are some nested playlist hierarchies and the results...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes plugin (d_itunes4.dll)
Hi, the plugin used to work fine for me but now it's hanging. It syncs all songs, removes old content, and starts building playlists but when it hits certain playlists it hangs on "Synchronising iTunes" - MediaMonkey is still useable but can't be closed properly and the process can't be ab...

Re: Sync to ftp
I'm actually very surprised to find Mediamonkey doesn't support this already. I'm on a Samsun Nexus Anroid Device and can't get it to have a drive letter. It detects as a Tablet but always crashes at the start of sync. It seems to me that an ftp sync method would proide a backup syncing solution for...

Re: Last.fm Scrobbler help
Hi, I've got Mediamonkey installed in portability mode (not sure if that's the cause specifically). I install last.fm scrobbler 1.0.2.29 and it installs fine. If I go to options before I restart MM I can see the options for last.fm scrobbler and all the settings look fine. However, when I restart MM...

Scan at Startup doesn't exclude folders
In the Add/Rescan folders dialog, if you choose a folder and set it up to "Scan at Startup", you can also uncheck some of its subfolders , however, these exclusions are ignored on startup which means those folders are treated as new folders and scanned in. An example where this is inconven...

Re: Skinning MM4's Window Frame Question
Ahhh. yes, I totally agree there.
I misunderstood, I thought the settings.ini wasn't in the skin and was comparing it to that.

Re: Skinning MM4's Window Frame Question
Why is that option so hidden.. why didn't they make it a checkbox in the skin dialog like "Overide skin theme with windows system theme". In fact.. that almost sounds like the same option.. So while before the skin could look how it wanted and you could overide it with windows if you wante...

Skinning MM4's Window Frame Question
Hi, I started some skins years ago and have been insanley busy with work and life ever since. I'm since trying to get back into it and complete my skin but I want to create it for MM4. Problem is, how do I prevent MM from using the aero glass frame in windows? - I want to control what the window edg...

Re: Does Volume Levelling use album gain or track gain?
When you level the track.. it uses the replay gain values to alter the actual volume of the track. If you don't level the tracks, it uses the replay gain values to normalize the tracks while playing them if you have level playback volume turned on. Does that help make sense of it? In regard to the c...

Re: Does Volume Levelling use album gain or track gain?
it applies album gain (based on my deductions).
I got zero after analysing the tracks again after applying it

Re: Does Volume Levelling use album gain or track gain?
According to: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=3839 Album gain is already applied. I just copied a test album in and tried it.. it definitely doesn't come up with an option to choose. And it applies TRACK volume changes, not album (This is not true, see my post below) I can see this be...

Re: Does Volume Levelling use album gain or track gain?
Actually.. no, I'm wrong.. apparently it uses the ALBUM volume to level the tracks. strangely, once you apply the levelling, it changes the values in the track volume or album volume fields but NEITHER of them become zero consistently - which they should. Which is odd. However, I then re-analyzed th...

Re: Does Volume Levelling use album gain or track gain?
im pretty sure it would use the track volume, as like you say, album volume would be useless.would be a pretty useless feature. actually, I said the exact opposite. If it were to use the track volume, then you would find it would make quiet songs on an album louder and louder songs on the same albu...

Does Volume Levelling use album gain or track gain?
Hi, I have all my tracks analysed for volume level. Media monkey does a great job of normalizing everything. However, my other devices do a shit job. So I want to permanently level the volumes ofall the mp3's, however, I does anyone know if that operation will use the album gain value or the track g...
