OK, hopefully that should fix the problem people have been having.

If you want to make it import the old podcast entries from the INI file, you have to remove the Cache= line from the Podcasts section (if it exists).

Hi, sorry about the bugs, I probably shouldn't have released this before I went to Germany for four days... :) I've tracked down the bug which makes it crash when the update runs, not sure how that one got past testing. There's another bug where the folder is not created before it tries to save the ...

Anonymous wrote: You will need to install the .NET framework 2.0 if you don't already have it. This is a 20mb download, but I figured if you were downloading 2030mb podcasts, this wouldn't be much of an issue
What I meant to say is 20-30mb podcasts, 2 GB is a bit large, even for a podcast :P

Progress Update

Hi, Sorry I've not posted for a while, graduation, new job, the usual excuses :) I've implemented some of the download functionality from the script in an external component now, and am in the process of wiring up the script to the component. This has the advantage that I don't need to depend on any...

I have noticed this with a few podcasts, I'm not sure exactly, but I think it must be something different in the way the 'casts are structured.

Looking at the feed you mention TrueJournals, I can't see what the difference is, but I'll try to write a more robust feed parser.

Could you post how you got the script to work? Maybe I should make an installer for it to make things easier. What do you think? :) With regards to an installer, I'm thinking I may need to shift some of the logic into a dll, at which point I will need to make an installer anyway to register the fil...

I don't think I can incorporate the patch into the script I'm afraid, since it involves licencing issues for the grid control used to list the podcasts. I'm still trying to think of a good alternative, but haven't managed to spend much time on it recently.

Hey zii,

yeah, someone else had similar problems, the session limit thing doesn't make much sense to me either. The licence problem is regarding the list component used in the options dialog. I'll try to work this out next week.

Sorry, it just doesn't seem to work - It will still download episodes if you can get the list to appear. I've no idea why it's doing this, since last time I used it (about a month ago) it didn't give these errors. I don't have time to look at it now, but I will work on the problem soon. Sorry to was...

sammawatt, after double checking the TWIS podcast it seems to have moved here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/twis/science just to confuse the issue. This may be the problem, can you check again with the new URL? After testing this myself, it does seem quite broken. I'm not sure what's causing it. The ...

sccrzeus, sorry, no recent improvements. I have to hand in my Master's thesis in two weeks, but after that I should have a bit more time to work on it.

sammawatt, try http://www.twis.org/audio/podcast.rss, I know that one works with the plugin (for me anyway).

Ah, excellent suggestion anon coward. I still think it would be more convenient to edit the podcast list from within MM: I don't want to make the script dependant on an OPML editor. Using an OPML file for storage is a good idea, and I'll try to implement that in the next version. Edit: I think the b...

Hmm, looks like it must be the list view control which displays the podcasts. Apparently you need a runtime licence to make it work if you add it from a script, so you need to have visual studio installed! I'll look into a replacement control and try to fix the problem. Does anyone else know of a ta...
