Re: Songs by certain artist won't show up in Library, etc.
Ok I figured out WHERE the songs go: To "CLASSICAL MUSIC"! What the fuck?? Why would anyone divide his library into "music" and "classical music"?? Isn't classical music also MUSIC?? Seriously, that's one of the dumbest features I've ever seen  So how can I chang...

Re: 1361: WASAPI does not reconnect HDMI
Windiows Media Player does not use Wasapi... with the default setting for the wasapi plugin, the driver hold the device even after stopping the play; this is the way wasapi (event mode) is supposed to work. You may want to change the advanced setting for the wasapi output plugin, unchecking Event Mo...

Re: Saving MM4 settings before O.S. reinstall
Thanks Peke.
For the record, it worked with no problem; importing the registry I also restored my registration data.

Saving MM4 settings before O.S. reinstall
I know the wiki page about moving MM to a new computer; my need is slightly different, anyway I just want to be sure I'm not missing something. 8) I need to change the OS on my PC from Win 7 x86 to x64 and off course I'd like to preserve all my MM settings, (Music library is on a NAS and it will rem...

Re: Default program changed at MM4 startup
Off Course no.
I never noticed the "re-associate at startup"...
By the way:
- why it is recommended to re-associate at startup? I cannot figure a good reason for.
- I don't want to remove the association with MM, I just want MM is not the default program.

Default program changed at MM4 startup
I have a boring problem with MM4; I do not use MM as default program for video, so after installing MM4 I change the default video player to VLC using "open with" for every video extension (.avi. mpg, etc.). The problem is every time I start MM, apperently it write again the default file a...

Re: Playing DSD files on MM4
If I understand correctly your first question, you want to play .DFF files; for this you need either an INPUT plugin converting in PCM on-the-fly, (Wasapi is an OUTPUT plugin), or at least that MM knows .DFF files and send them as-is to a DSD compliant DAC. By the way, I requested DSD compatibility ...

Re: Editing song brings now playing into album list
That sounds like: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=8743 I'm not sure it's exactly the same problem (quite similar, thou): according to the .PNG attached in the linked page, you get the multiple tracks listed this way: Track 1 Track 2 Track 3 Track 1 Track 2 Track 3 Track 1 etc. I get t...

Re: Editing song brings now playing into album list
Can't replicate. Anyone else? -Rusty I'm not sure it' the same problem I have. (I'm sorry, at the moment I have no free PCs for intalling the dedug version.) While manteining the library in massive way (i'm converting my Classic music library logic from Artist/Album to Composer/Composition, so I ed...

2) 44.1k source played at 96k. This is upsampled. The original sound will gain extra information in the upsampling , and the effect will to be give the impressions of greater depth, high highs and to "sparkle" more. With a 44.1 sample rate the max frequency that can be played is 22.05kHx (...

Shortening tracks titles
I have a trivial but boring problem with my library: many albums, expecially complete operas, have a very long titles, which makes them almost useless, as the beginning is the same for all tracks and I have not enough "real estate" on the title column to see the end. Example: Wolfgang Amad...

Re: MM4 and Bit Perfect Sound
You may chech the setting for automatic choice of format in MM Tools/Options/Output Plugin; select the Wasapi driver, then click on Configure: http://www.marcobenedetti.it/Audio/MM4/wasapi.jpg You may also check your setting in Control Panel/Audio: select the HiFace SPDIF interface, click on Proprti...

Re: MM4 and Bit Perfect Sound
Bailso, may I ask you what Kernel Streaming driver did you use with MM3? Just curious, I remember (when I used Win XP) I tried with the KS driver at http://www.stevemonks.com/ksplugin/ with a dozen of PCs and it didn't work... (With MM3 and Hiface I had to use the ASIO plugin with the orrible ASIO4A...

Re: How to play 192khz? MM Settings only to 96khz
If in CP/Audio you have only 44.1 and 48 KHz listed, more likeky your USB inteface is old generation, using sincronous/adaptive communication with the USB port. These interfaces are limited to 48 KHz-16 bit (and a lot of jitter). To use 192 KHz you need an USB interface using asincronous communicati...
