Re: 2191 - download from GPM is broken

Thanks Barry, a regression cropped into 2191 (while fixing #15023) and now download from GPM fails entirely with "Unknown protocol" error (for me too) + the subsequent issues mentioned.

Re-opened https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view ... 133#c54230 and fixed in 2192

Re: Google sync - how do you fix bad uploads? [#15849]

Thanks, I've got the log and found the reason for these bugs.

I am going to fix this for 2192+

Thanks so far and have a great weekend!

Re: Google sync - how do you fix bad uploads? [#15849]

Ok, but I guess that also now (when everything is in GPM) and you click [Sync now] then it proceeds immediatelly, but the scan log reports did not import 4 files (did not match import criteria), isn't this the case? If yes, could you attach debug log of that?

Re: Google sync - how do you fix bad uploads? [#15849]

Did not import 4
I guess that this always reproducible if you press [Sync now] even without deleting anything from GPM?

If yes, could you catch it in debug log (item 4b here: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 30&t=86643 ) ?

Re: Google sync - how do you fix bad uploads? [#15849]

Afterwards (before another sync), Music, All Tracks showed only HDD symbol, no cloud symbols at all. I guess those get updated only on a second sync? Or was it because this ended prematurely? As I wrote above. This is fixed in build 2191. As for the "premature termination" -- that's a pity that you...

Re: "The database file isn't fully compatible with MediaMonkey 4."

Did you install MM5 portable on the top of MM4 portable? Or did you specify custom DBName in the Mediamonkey.ini? Otherwise the default location for MM5 database is different, it is [user]/AppData/Roaming/ MediaMonkey5 /... We would see your DB path in debug log (can you generate one -- item 4b here...

Re: Too many bugs in recent beta

Agree unstable on Windows 7, might be better on other windows versions. It is stable here on Windows 7, did you submit crash logs? Or can you elaborate what is the instability for you? My custom layout is not always respected, mostly after restarting my own layout and above mentioned views are set ...

Re: Google sync - how do you fix bad uploads? [#15849]

OK, I think that I simulated your issue and found a way how to replicate. I used this steps: 1) unchecked the '[ ] Scan GPM content... ' checkbox 2) selected a file that is not in GPM yet > right-click > Send to > GPM 3) go to D&S > GPM > All tracks => the lastly uploaded file appears with the hdd i...

Re: MM5 2188 Displays transparent popup window

ok, so I suppose that the dummy "There was an error while connecting to Google Play Music..." window is now always shown, but always fully visible and not transparent? Anyhow (as you indicated) the transient error should not be shown at all (only the summary error box at the end) -- which was alread...

Re: Google sync - how do you fix bad uploads? [#15849]

When I go into Devices, GPM, Remote, All Tracks, it shows 3292 BUT there are 15 files that have the local storage indicated not the cloud. Do you mean Devices & Services > GPM > All tracks ? There are only tracks with cloud symbol only, link+cloud, cloud+hdd. [cloud+hdd] means that the cloud track ...

Re: MM5 2188 Displays transparent popup window

I could wipe all the GPM files and try uploading again, but I fear a debug log of that would be incredibly large (and still dependent on luck to get an error). Any idea how I could minimize it? Locate this file: /scripts/googleMusicUploader/helpers/cloudServices_add.js And change the code from ODS(...

Re: Chromecast on separate subnet [#15834]

Hi, hard to guess what is going on without seeing a debug log, could you generate the log (item 4b here https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643 ) ? As for the mDNS -- this is used just for discovery, I believe that the only and the most important is the IP address when adding th...

Re: Google sync - how do you fix bad uploads?

As for the number of files in GPM: Previously it could show less because of the errors you got during uploading? i.e. you had a transient errors based on the logs so some tracks were uploaded on the next sync? As for the number of library tracks: 3322 files is probably the number of all songs in you...

Re: Adding Custom Fields resets the playcount to 0

Hi, that's very strange.

I cannot replicate and don't see a way how this could happen.
Do you use any addons/extensions?
How exactly you edit the fields? Using Properties dialog or F2 editing? Or does this happen using whatever editing method?
