Pandora window

What better way to spend a rainy weekend than to write a script in a language you don't know to interface with an API you don't understand very well. Here's a script that runs Pandora in either (a) your default browser or (b) a popup window. [see follow-up for revised code] Now a couple of qu...

Bravo!

Now that's great! And I noticed the tricky way you kept that key/value class. Sweet. The tree now hangs from perhaps a more appropriate place, you demonstrate a "main stream" thing at the top of the tree, and you even include some music apart from the old fogey music I've put in the list. Bravo! The...

So where's the code? ;-)

Thanks very much for your kindness. Yeah, I agree with you about the genres. The song genre is a different kind of thing from the stream genre. I was just thinking of having a nice simple and properly abstract loop: foreach Genre in Genres {...} And I do take the point you made earlier, this whole e...

Thanks, here's a variation

I've fiddled with your script, which was probably a bad idea since I've never written VBScript or VB before. Here's my idea about what it ought to look like -- but not the way it should be coded! Warning! Evil code! http://www.crispen.org/etc/StreamsTreeNode.vbs What I'd do if I knew how to c...

Wrt Steegy's question on tweaking the text, most streams come with descriptions that scream "Akron Ohio's NUMBER ONE polka station. FM 109.9, the top of the dial!!!! Polka, Polka, Polka!!!!!!!!!"

I prefer something a little more sedate: "Jazz - KLON - Long Beach".

Node for stream URLs, other user-supplied lists?

Newb here, so if the capability already exists, apologies. I've got a pretty good sized list of bookmarks from WinAmp that I've added by hand. Several of them are extracted from websites that want you to tie up your web browser and watch their ads, so what's in my WinAmp bookmark is the URL for the ...

A Magic Nodes script for classical music

I'm seriously dreading this because of the angle brackets, but let's see how it goes: Classical Composer|SQL filter:Genres.GenreName LIKE '%classical%'\<genre>\<composer>\<album>\<artist> You can see the results here: http://blog.crispen.org/images/magicnodes.png It's just a small variation on one o...
