Re: Why is "Remove Device" grayed out??

On the Options tab of the Device Profile you can reset device options. Make sure you're MediaMonkey is up-to-date and that you check out sync selection as you may have inadvertently have more content selected to be synced. You can also try installing MediaMonkey as a Portable Install in a new locati...

Re: Field storage in media files

By default tags in MediaMonkey are stored in the files. You may have disabled this (Tools > Options > Tags & Playlists). MP3 has an issue where there are multiple ways to write tags to files so sometimes 1 software can't read the tag from another software, but MediaMonkey should be able to read its ...

Still don't know what App you're referring to, but MediaMonkey for Android can't control AIMP or any DLNA client.

Re: M4P Files No Longer Play in Version 1896

You may have to do an online search of how to authorize the files in QuickTime. QuickTime needs to be able to play them for other players to be able to play them (iTunes is the exception as Apple owns that too).

Re: Having trouble syncing just a playlist

That's not the right place. You need to select what is synced under Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync by configuring the Device Profile: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index. ... oid_device

What's MonkeyLite? The Play store doesn't show it here. MediaMonkey has https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... ediamonkey

Re: One instance doesn't know what the other instance is doing?

No, it's only the Now Playing list. You can load a Playlist into it (now it no longer is that Playlist), edit it and then save.

MediaMonkey 5 (in end of beta cycle) has a Playlist panel that opens when you add files to a Playlist. This may work a little better.

Re: One instance doesn't know what the other instance is doing?

Not within MediaMonkey. You can have a second tab open, but D&D doesn't switch to it for specific placement (it adds to the end).

Some use the Now Playing to setup the Playlist (as it's a separate window) and then save this as a Playlist.

Re: Various beginner questions concerning NAS / DLNA

DLNA has the ability to stream the file as-is to the DLNA client. Thus it can have the same fidelity as the Toslink connection. Bluetooth on the other hand can't handle lossless and instead uses lossy streaming thus isn't able to achieve the same fidelity. If you can hear this can be debated and wou...
