Having two new problems

Alright, I am using Windows 7 and just downloaded the new MM. I am having two separate problems. When I try to rip new albums, and use the short key method, I get all the titles highlighted in yellow. If I do it by using the top tabs, it will work, but I am getting a lot of errors. These are on my n...

Music Transfer to new Computer

Lowlander, Nohitter I am moving from my one classroom to another teaching classroom. I have about 30 albums on my computer, but cannot move this computer to my new classroom. How can I best move the music? Should I use my thumb drive and try to store my FLAC files onto it, and then when I am in the ...

Re: Paging Nohitter and lowlander

Thanks for responding, lowlander.
I tried the copy and paste of the ASIN number. No dice.

I'll take a look at your link to alternative taggers. Thanks for your help.

Paging Nohitter and lowlander

Could you guys give me a link to the most painless way to add an album's info by hand? The problem albums almost always seems to be classical, which has the most information to put down. Tonight I picked up "The Rough Guide to Classical Music: Bach" It is listed in Amazon, but I tried every configur...

Re: Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix 3.7.4 (2010-08-21)

Close MM and locate the Scripts.ini file (it is in your scripts map somewhere), open it in notepad and then delete the whole section named [AdvDupeFindFix]. Then reinstall the script. It solved the problem for me. I hope it will work. Dennis Dennis, Using XP Pro, and didn't find it listed either. E...

Re: FLAC Lossless Uncompressed

The only difference in flac levels, is compression speed vs file size, 0 = fastest compression and largest size (other than uncompressed), 8 = the max supported compression and smallest size.
Thanks, T!
That's what I thought, and I do agree with you on that comment from the thread.

Re: FLAC Lossless Uncompressed

Great response, Teknojnky!
Is your response because the term Lossless Uncompressed is an oxymoron? Is it just a marketing gimmick?

Did you read the thread? Love some real feedback.

FLAC Lossless Uncompressed

There is a discussion thread over at Audio Circle that another company is offering FLAC Lossless Uncompressed in their new model.

Does MM have this or are they planning to offer this?

Transfer to a new HD

Lowlander and NoHitter. Long story short, my main mobo died. After three weeks, I am back and up running. But in the interim, I bought an HP Dekstop, and have been loading about 75 albums. Now I need to transfer that to my other Music Only HD. The steps? 1. I need to make sure I have all the source ...

Re: Can't separate demo cd from CD-1

For disc 1 just add CD1 to the Album field and for disc 2 add CD2.
If I right click to properties.
It does list that one is disc one and the other is disc two.
Do I add up in the the title after flac. just add CD-1 for those, or do I need to go somewhere else to do this?

Re: Can't separate demo cd from CD-1

Lowlander said Then you're probably tagging like using Auto-Tag from Web. I think that is what happened as well. I didn't even think about it, when I initially loaded the two cd's. Then I made the stupid mistake of giving the real cd set to my brother in another state. Then, when I was going through...

Can't separate demo cd from CD-1

I have the Richard Thompson Dream Attic DeLuxe Edition 2 CD set. The first CD-1 is the final product, but the second cd is the acoustic demo versions of the songs. MM keeps slapping the whole thing into one file. I have taken my original flac files and put them into separate folders in the hard driv...
