Re: Issues with MM5 2115

4. We could change the default, even though I think that personal preferences will vary here. The generic Genre icon is shown only when we don't have artwork (yet). The Composer view shows all the items belonging to a particular composer, i.e. the items don't have to repeat this information and that...

Re: Issues with MM5 2115

4. You can switch to MM4-like Genres view by the top-right View Selector (choose between Genre and Genre category views). 5. I see your point, but I'm not sure that making the numbers visible only when the 1st one is visible would make it better, seems to be rather inconsistent to me. Will try to th...

Re: Road Map

Generally speaking -- when it's ready to be released, it will be. ;-) We should be able to make it this Summer/Fall, but it all depends on many things...

Re: Damn it is too easy to goof with phpBB

phpBB probably isn't perfect, but to convert to another app would require a lot of our time that we rather spend on MM5. And then, we'd have to find something better first... ;-)

Re: More tag fields for listeners of classical music [#14963]

Linked Tracks is an Addon, which definitely could be ported to MM5. However, the original question is about more fields in MM5. As Michal pointed out, we definitely want to support as much as possible meaningful fields, but always try to do it in a (reasonably) compatible way with most used apps (be...

Re: Release date for MM 5 (Win and macOS)

Definitely. The base of MM5 is cross-platform ready, but there's a lot of smaller details that have to be solved and so instead of spreading our resources, we decided to finish the Windows version first and only then focus on other platforms (Mac and Linux).

Re: Release date for MM 5 (Win and macOS)

Well, yes, the development takes longer than we'd like, but we're getting there. We are about to release MM5 beta and so the final MM5 release for Windows hopefully isn't far. Mac will yet need some time then.

Re: Sycronization between MMA and two MMW PCs

I think that the upcoming MediaMonkey Server (to be published soon) together with MM5 might be the best solution for this scenario. Until then, one MM4 could scan content of another MM4 instance (shared over UPnP).

Re: 2110 ... various issues and suggestions

Thanks, we're looking into the issues. Just two suggestions re. the first item:

- You can go to Options > Search and disable Path field there.
- You can install incrementalSearch script from SampleScripts folder in order to have the MM4-like behavior.

Re: Skin Editor

Hi, yes, looks like a useful tool. As for the api, you might need app.currentSkin() and app.currentLayout() to know what to edit and window.doReload() to apply the skin changes. This currently performs a complete window re-load, in order to properly apply any possible changes in JS (a skin can conta...
