Re: MM5 DLNA service
I'm afraid I gave up on using MM's DLNA service and instead bought a QNAP NAS drive and installed a Twonky server on it. A more expensive solution, sure, but is better in a number of ways (beyond the fact that it works reliably!) and the QNAP hardware has other uses for me too.

Re: MM5 DLNA service
Thanks for the reply. I'm not getting the "service did not start due to a login failiure" message (though I did when I started trying this out but that error disappeared). Instead I can start the service but as soon as I start doing anything in terms of browsing for a music track, the serv...

MM5 DLNA service
My NAS drive is dying and so I'm looking to use MM5 on my Windows PC to stream using DLNA to various devices. It all seems to work fine when MM5 is running but I'd also like it to run as a Windows service so that I don't need to be logged into my PC. I have successfully set up the service and it see...

Re: Audio Corruption
Let me just make sure it's not a ripping issue before I waste anybody's time looking into it. I'll see if I can unearth any more examples.
I was asking the question in case it's something that's been seen before.

Re: Audio Corruption
I'll get the latest release; the "check for updates" menu item says that it is the current version but I'll check the forum for up-to-date builds in future. They wouldn't have been R/O when I imported them into MM. I ususally import, change metadata and then flag as R/O. The date stamp sho...

Audio Corruption
Not sure if this is a MM5 issue or something more general but I'm using MM5 (v5.0.0.2293) at the moment so I'll post it here. Is it possible for just the audio in M4A files to get corrupted whilst leaving the metadata untouched? I have a handful of files that I had previously ripped with iTunes and ...

Access Violation During iPhone Sync
I have recently added a load of new files to my library and wanted to sync them to my iPhone Xs. I have previously synced > 12000 files using MM to the iPhone but now it only syncs about 4 or 5 files before displaying multiple Access Violation messages and then freezing; the only way to close the ap...

Re: Lost Device Configuration
I'm afriad I gave up on using MM for syncing. I have now reverted to using iTunes which, for syncing, is very reliable. I still use MM for organising my library as iTunes falls far short on library management functionality. It's a pain in the neck but I couldn't afford to waste any more time getting...

Re: Lost Device Configuration
Feel free to hi-jack! The more background we can get to the problem, the better the chances of solving it. As far as I can tell, the configuration data for syncing devices is not held in files in the USER area but in the MM.DB file which, although it is in the USER area, is an SQL database that I ca...

Re: Lost Device Configuration
I've had a look at the tables 'Devices' and 'SyncGenre'. All 7 of my devices have rows in Devices but only 3 of them have corresponding rows in SyncGenre. I assume that when I configure a device to sync certain genres, then each genre creates a row in this table. Devices that I have only very recent...

Re: Lost Device Configuration
It's done it again! Lost the device configurations and now wants to sync the whole thing again as if it had never seen the devices before. This is getting frustrating, not to mention time-consuming. Are the device configurations in MM.DB or INI files? I've looked in the INI files and can't see anyth...

[SOLVED] Lost Device Configuration
I use MM 4.1.20.1864 for managing my music library and also syncing music to a number of iPods, iPads and iPhones. Each has a slightly different configuration (on-the-fly conversions, different music etc.). Until recently, each time I connected a device, it would remember that configuration from the...

Re: Corrupted music files
Without wishing to tempt fate, this problem seems to be resolved. I used the "Clear Database" option and had MM rebuild it from the directory contents. I have done a few syncs since then and the source files seem to be intact. However, I do have a new unrelated issue that I will post separ...

Re: Corrupted music files
I plug the iOS device in and MediaMonkey scans it and displays the current storage allocated to each type of data (music, video etc.) on the bar graphic. Next to that graphic it says how much there is to sync and then I press "Auto Sync" and it does the sync. The sync itself is successful ...
