User accnt cntrl request & latest "stable" version

Hi folks: I am currently running MM 4.1.15.1830. I believe that I upgraded to that about 1/2 year ago. For a little over a month now, I have been getting a notice that says: User Account Control Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device. MediaMonkey COM elevator Verified Publisher...

Ripping various artists CDs

This is the mask that I tried for ripping a various artists CD: "C:\My Music\Various Artists\Buzzcuts Disk 1 of 2\<Track#:2> <Artist> - <Title>". The destination path looks good. Under MM "Artist and Album Artist", a Various Artist folder is created with a CD entitled "Buzzc...

Re: Questions about the "Rip CD" dialog box

Thanks for the replies rivorson & MMFrLife. I have now successfully ripped Beck, Bogert, and Appice Live, disks 1 & 2 to MM. I have also burned same to CD. So, I'm a MM expert now! My next assignment (should I accept...ala Mission Impossible) will be to include the artwork for the 197...

Re: Questions about the "Rip CD" dialog box

Thanks rivorson for taking the time to write a detailed response. After reading your response, and looking back at the nice format table found at http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/WebHelp:Basic_Concepts/4.0, I am going to use FLAC format for ripping. As far as "Rip type", it would ...

Thanks for the response LowLander. My posts have now started appearing essentially instantaneously. I think that I have been identified as not spam (just a newbie nuisance!).

Questions about the "Rip CD" dialog box

I am trying to rip my first (of many) CDs into MMW4. I have read on-line documentation about CD ripping to the point of starting to develop a headache. Finally, I knew it was time to stop reading and start "getting my feet wet". When the "Rip CD" dialog box appeared, I came up wi...

Re: Question before populating empty library with CDs

Thanks dtsig. The following has nothing to do with your answer, but I thought that you may get a kick out of this. My stereo amp/pre-amp, and power amp are mid-70's, but still relevant with respect to performance. However, they are not wifi or Bluetooth compatible, and have a small number of input j...

Question before populating empty library with CDs

I am a new MMW 4 Gold Lifetime user. My initial thought is to upload my large CD collection un-compressed into the library. If I do that, will I later be able to download to iPod, SanDisk, Android, etc. in a compressed format while maintaining the CDs in the library un-compressed?

Re: Windows 10 64-bit platform not listed

Thanks for the reply MMFrLife. I was pretty sure that I had not spent my MM Gold Lifetime membership fee in vane, and your reply now has me feeling confident that it was a good purchase. As a retired NASA engineer/project manager, I am no stranger to reading/researching. As a new guy to MM, my main ...

Unsuccessful "Successfully posted"

Ok, for a second time I have submitted a post, received a message saying that it was successfully posted, and then not appeared. I guess I should input the body of the post in "Word" or "Notepad", and them C&P into body of post so that I still have the input if the "Succ...

Top level question before I start populating my library

Hello all: I have successfully downloaded, installed, and input user name and key code for my new MediaMonkey Gold Lifetime software. I have a lot of audio CDs that I would like to add to my library uncompressed. If I do this, and later want to create playlists, can I then download these playlist so...

Re: Windows 10 64-bit platform not listed

Thanks for your reply dtsig. I wrote a nicely written reply, but when I previewed and posted, it seems to have disappeared into the ethos. Here is a slimmed down version: Download homepage says "MediaMonkey for Windows is supported on 32/64 bit versions of Windows 10 (desktop)". Platform l...
