Re: Fresh MM5 install: won't start (see error)
No, I'll be honest: since the MM5 version is the same as the version I had, I didn't install a "new" copy for my tests. My decision was based on the problems I had with Version 4, and I saw no reason to try to make V.5 work when even V.4 was not working to my satisfaction. And, since we're...

Re: Fresh MM5 install: won't start (see error)
OK, I realize it's been several months, but I wanted to at least wrap up my findings in case someone from the future has this trouble. Conclusion: MM5 won't work for me, and likely won't. MM6 maybe? How I got there: First off, earlier this year, I was using an E5-26xxV4 CPU, and I was unaware that n...

Re: Fresh MM5 install: won't start (see error)
Spoke too soon. First off, there is something really bad going on with the MM website. Most of the time, in Firefox, I get a blank white page and have to reload several time. Sometimes, I'm lucky enough (in Chrome) to get this error: http://i.imgur.com/guxbe7W.png But anyway, back to the issue with ...

Re: MS Azure Blob storage for music files
Blob storage is 2.5 cents a gig, not a penny a gig. What is $0.01/GB is what's called "cool tier" storage, which requires an intermediary filer of some kind (extra monthly cost if you're not writing and forgetting, the way Cool Tier is designed), which is an extra cost per month: at least ...

Re: Fresh MM5 install: won't start (see error)
Based on the log it looks app is somehow frozen (maybe because of database import?) ... can you send me your MM4 database (petr att mediamonkey dott com). I'd be happy to, thanks. Where is the database? Also, surely unrelated, but the MM website often shows a blank page in Firefox, requiring a refr...

Fresh MM5 install: won't start (see error)
I've posted previously about trouble I've had with MM4 and an existing iTunes directory structure that plays just fine, both on this hardware with iTunes and also a Mac with this HDD installed in it. Now I've decided to try MM5 to see if it's a more promising base to begin tweaking. This is what com...

Re: 64Bit Version ?
IMHO, my problem is not perfectly related to the topic, so I will voluntarily close by simply saying there's strong evidence to suggest a 64-bit version of MM would be well received.
I apologize for threadjacking. I think the right thing to do is start a new thread.

Re: 64Bit Version ?
I'm a power user with a large collection of media and I rarely have any trouble. Is it within 20% (or is it even larger than) mine: http://i.imgur.com/XVREZ67.png Do you use a lot of Autoplaylists or Art views? No, neither of those. Again: this is a fresh install, all I did was make sure everything...

Re: 64Bit Version ?
MediaMonkey is actually known to handle large Libraries pretty well, without slowing down too much <citation needed> Are you running the skinned (default?) or unskinned version of MediaMonkey and do you have any additional Addons (especially panel ones) installed? Default everything, the only thing...

Re: 64Bit Version ?
Start with running File > Maintain Library with complete optimization checked. Thanks for the tip, but this did nothing. First song will begin to play, scrolling looks terrible because the window redraws every 3rd or 4th second, second song won't play for 2-3 minutes while it's Not Responding. CPU ...

Re: 64Bit Version ?
Same request. I also have a large library (over 130,000 tracks), and there are issues when: playing a FLAC file by double-clicking on it playing ANY file and scrolling down or right to find the next one to play playing any file while one is playing playing any video, then changing to Full Screen pla...

Re: Organize Files doesn't work the way it's suggested
Welp...in the process of making the screenshots to explain this, I discovered what the problems were. For the sake of future sufferers, I'll endure the embarrassment. First thing: the changes you make in Auto-Organize Files will not take effect until you execute them. Change them all you want, they ...

Re: Auto Skip Function
This would be a good use for a Check Box. For example, if the default behaviour of a checkbox is to permit play, then any song with the box checked gets played. So in your case, every song in that Deep Purple album is checked--except the chats, which are not. Playing that album pants-to-mustard woul...
