Re: MMW/MMA doing full sync every time / buggy playlist sync
I've switched to exclusive wifi syncs now, and they tend to get through the process without any major hassles. Basically, what I mean is that the files are currently landing in the right spot, updated (instead of full) syncs seem to be happening, and my playlists seem OK at the moment. That said, it...

Re: MMW/MMA doing full sync every time / buggy playlist sync
Thanks for your reply. I was doing both yesterday, but strangely I am today being denied the Wifi sync. Therefore, I've synced 3-4 times via USB today. The reason for so many is that I've experienced all sorts of problems since last night - after I submitted this forum post. The new problems include...

MMW/MMA doing full sync every time / buggy playlist sync
Hi all I've spent the good part of a Saturday getting my LG G4 and Windows PC to sync my selected MediaMonkey playlists. It's finally working reasonably well, but I'm stuck on two issues. Please forgive me if they have both been addressed previously - I searched pretty hard, but couldn't find answer...

Re: Process doesn't terminate when MM closes
FYI - when my MM crashes and I can't force end the process, I unplug my Transcend portable USB drive, which immediately frees MM up to close properly or unfreeze. This drive even causes problems with Win7 startup and shutdown.
If you have similar problems look to your external drives and disks.

Re: Discogs Tagger 4.35 (Updated: 2013-11-23)
The script has been working beautifully until MM 4.1. Now I'm finding that the majority of search results are giving me black crosses instead of album art. This results in a generic image being applied to the tags. When I click on the cross the full Discogs image loads in IE. Any ideas what's happen...

Re: Move "Feat." Artists in Title to Artist Field
I'm going through those presets now and can't find one that does exactly that. I can see one that takes the "feat..." in the title and moves it into Artist, but not one that also replaces "feat..." with a semi-colon. I can't understand how the expressions are written, so don't kn...

Re: Crashing, freezing & glitching
Thanks for help, all. I've installed from scratch, installed only the very essential scripts and performance is now acceptable. It still glitches a little occasionally, but I can live with that until I get a faster PC.

Re: Crashing, freezing & glitching
I took all scripts and extensions out of my main installation, and still it runs poorly. I think the only recourse I have is to reinstall.
Should I rebuild the entire library, or backup and restore the existing one? If so, where does it reside?

Re: Crashing, freezing & glitching
I also installed a portable version so I can see the defaults. It runs pretty smoothly out of the box. I'll uninstall all my scripts from my original installation and compare. As a side question, I see that DirectSound is the default audio output. I have relatively slow hardware and play music from ...

Re: Crashing, freezing & glitching
Thanks for the tips. I'll try the rename folder option first, then reintroduce scripts one by one.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Re: Crashing, freezing & glitching
Thanks, I'll give the final release a try, although I haven't seen anything in the release notes about addressing tag update glitches. A simple thing like rating the now-playing track causes one 100% of the time. Adding the lyrics or making any other change to the track does the same thing. Just did...

Crashing, freezing & glitching
I run MM 4.1 beta, following the updates religiously. I have been experiencing regular crashing, freezing, song-part looping and short glitches regularly since moving to MM4, and these issues haven't gone away in 4.1 I imagine it's got something to do with concurrent processes being too heavy, but I...
