One Song Isn't Getting Synchronized

Media Monkey 4.1.21.1875 Samsung Galaxy S8+ On my phone (music player called "Poweramp"), I noticed a song missing from one of my playlists. In MM on Windows I have 25 songs, on my phone, it's only 24. I looked at the playlist file on the phone, and sure enough, there are 25 lines. The last line, ho...

Re: Stopped Adding Files/Folder Out of the Blue

That fixed it, thank you.

Hopefully it will fix the crashing too -- In my ... 3 or 4 years of MM, I don't think it's ever crashed on me before.

Usually, MM tells me when there's an update waiting to be installed, and I install it right away. What happened?

Stopped Adding Files/Folder Out of the Blue

Out of the blue, MM stopped adding files/folders. This is version 4.1.18.1853 on Win7. My music is on a CIFS/SAMBA share named \\SATAN\mp3 on a Linux box. Example: I added a few MP3/320CBR versions of albums on my network drive (Mellow Gold, Mutations, and Midnite Vultures were all added 11/17/2017)...

Windows Context Menu

How do I get rid of the Windows MM context menu?

I don't see anything in Tools | Options | OS Integration to control this.

Re: Track Order is Not Ordering Correctly

Album sort is Album > Album Artist > Disc# >Track#. This takes care of multi-disc Albums as well as Albums with the same name from different Artists (like Greatest Hits). You are my hero, and this explains everything. It turns out that Disc# was blank for the whole album except for 2 and 8, where D...

Re: Track Order is Not Ordering Correctly

From above pic after sorting by Album you should use CTRL+CLICK on Track# column and sort albums by Track Number as secondary sort order. This did the trick. Thank you for mentioning this. But two followup questions -- First, MM usually does the right thing. The Dio example is notable because it's ...

Re: Track Order is Not Ordering Correctly

The ordering scheme in MM is typically "Album Artist" first. Even if that field already looks the same and in order, just click on that column first and see what you get. You may need to click on it more than once to toggle between ascending and descending. It wasn't the issue here (AA and Artist a...

This is something I'm not familiar with -- is there a tagging system in MM other than mp3ids? Where does one set #disc?

Track Order is Not Ordering Correctly

Album is Dio's "Holy Diver". I ordered the listing by Album. The track ordering is mostly correct but something weird is happening -- the tracks are ordered as: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 2, 8 I've played around with the interface. This weird ordering consistently happens, and when I order the listing by ...

Re: Woke up. Playlists are all gone.

I'm only seeing one MM.DB file on my computer, so 3rd option doesn't look good. I saw one or two songs in the playlists that I added last night. Other than that, empty. I'm 100% certain I didn't press delete or do anything that would obviously delete playlists. I'm absolutely, positively certain of ...

Woke up. Playlists are all gone.

Last night I went to bed and everything was fine. This morning I woke up and all my non-auto playlists are gone. My Android phone still has the playlists synced as of 2 ago. It wouldn't be terrible to have to revert to 2 days ago. I have a backup of the MM library as of Oct 2015, but having to rever...

Sorry -- only peripherally relevant to MMA. I'm trying to log into the help desk. When I do, I get the message: We encountered a problem (cross-site request forgery detected); please try again I'm currently on assignment in Japan, trying to log in from my company's network, so I'm sure stringent che...
