Re: 1060 error installing UPNP service

I don't know what caused the initial problem installing the service, but I found that the service, once installed, was trying to log on with the Local System Account. I changed that to the domain admin ID and password and it is now working as expected.

1060 error installing UPNP service

I did a clean install of MM on a Windows Server 2012 R2 server. Logged in as the domain administrator, selecting Install as Service generates the following error: [SC] StartService: OpenService FAILED 1060: The specified service does not exist as an installed service. Nevertheless, the service appea...

Windows 10 Modern Standby

Like all "desktop app" the Windows version of MM stops playing when the screen goes off on a Windows 10 device with "Modern Standby" (previously "Connected Standby" in WIndows 8 ). It would be good if MM could keep playing after the screen goes dark. I saw that there wa...

Yes, I tried that, but it doesn't help. I have also tried turning off sharing and then turning it back on without success.

I wondered if there is a service that needs to be restarted. UPNP Device Host says it is running though. Any others I should look at?

Server disappears off network

Hi, I've been playing with MediaMonkey as a UPNP/DLNA server. My router has a minor fault that causes it to occasionally drop the connection to the MediaMonkey PC for a few moments. Whenever this happens the server disappears off the network, and doesn't reappear until I restart the server PC. OK, T...
