Re: Auto-Complete on Multiple Actors

In my eyes, It's the only program I've found that's able to handle nearly all the video extensions I have, and it's the only one that I've found that lists multiple actors as a individual entities. No doubt, it's certainly the best program I've found so far for movie tagging and upkeep... bu...

Re: Collections, Auto-Organize, and Masks

Any insight into the rampant renaming from the collections?

Re: Auto-Complete on Multiple Actors

This still seems to be a problem for me, even with the latest MediaMonkey build.

Anyone else having the same issue: when entering multiple actors, actors after the first don't auto-complete?

Re: Preset manager for Auto-Organize

Has there been any progress on this feature? It's something I'd really love -- I think the lack of this is MediaMonkey's one great flaw at the moment.

Collections, Auto-Organize, and Masks

Here is my situation: I track several different types of files in Media Monkey: Music: standard fare -- artist, album artist, album, track#, title, etc. Movies: actual films I download -- title, year TV Shows: actual TV shows I download -- series, episode#, title Home Videos: anything that is a vide...

Never mind! I figured it out! (Gotta use Visual Basic, not regex.)

Re: ExtractFields v0.1.4 [MM2+3]

No, the author hasn't made any updates since 2006. The RegExp plugin can do what you're looking for. http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28510&hilit=regexp Took a look at the plugin and I'm a bit >_<. Is there a way to combine fields? Basically I need to take <Conductor> an...

Re: ExtractFields v0.1.4 [MM2+3]

Has there been any work recently on this plugin?

It does exactly what I need -- but I need it to move the <Conductor> field, which is currently not a mask, to the end of <Title>. In a pinch I can make this happen via some intermediates, but I'd rather not.

Any thoughts?

Re: Strange field behavior when flipping through file proper

I'll try the new beta version, then.

I just lost all the metadata to my 23000+ files, and I have to enter it all again by hand... and having to click the field each time I Alt-Arrow to the next file is exhausting and time-consuming!

Strange field behavior when flipping through file properties

I tend to edit the metadata (properties) of files in large batches. Normally (that is, on Windows 7), you can click Alt+arrow to move between the various files, and your cursor would remain in the same field. So I could change the data, Alt+arrow, change the data, Alt+arrow, etc. It was very quick! ...

Re: Slow tagging + questions on album art issues

1) You may want to try File > Maintain Library with complete optimization checked. Also your drive could be very fragmented/full and writing tags may increase the file size further slowing writing down. I'll try the Library Maintenance thing. Thanks! My drive certainly isn't full, though it may be ...

Slow tagging + questions on album art issues

Two questions, really. First, I've been re-tagging my mp3 collection, and the process is taking an inordinate amount of time if I do more than a handful of songs at once. For instance, I can do a few songs, and the tags get updated almost immediately, but I just set a batch of around 12,000, just to...

Support for video files

I love MediaMonkey. It's my ideal solution to media metadata and organization, and that's saying a lot. Further, it works perfectly with music files. Sadly I cannot say the same for videos. I realize MediaMonkey is primarily intended for music, but as support for videos has been included in the prog...
