Re: How to Define a 'TAB' and have it Keep its contents
I'm sure you already know, but just in case you don't, you can middle click on items in the tree to open them in a new tab. Thanks for that great tip. No I didn't know that either. And it works perfectly. Like other users I require my first three tabs to be constant, yet they cannot be held/saved w...

Re: Setup advice for audiophile WASAPI and USB (or SPDIF) DA
Hello, I do notice that foobar sounds better than MM out of the box on my system, but I do believe I can get the same sound quality level in MM using the WASAPI plugin. Because foobar cant hold a candle to the database and convenience capabilities of MM I want to use MM. ... please understand "...

...my entire computer froze when using Mediamonkey. When I would try to cut the process in the task manager I get the error saying that the process can not be accessed, and the same with Explorer, which then completely freezes too when I browse into a folder that contains files. Other programs work...

[1626] Performance Lag with Portable install?
I am trying out 1626 as a Portable installation on a SSD drive.
I am noticing that monkey is thinking before responding when doing regular tasks such as Opening Properties or Opening or Changing Tabs. Is this performance lag peculiar to a portable version?

Teknojnky, Simple Append [2009-04-10] is one of my fav scripts. I use it a lot to add suffix to titles.
Nanya, a bit late I know, but I've only just seen your post.
I know nothing about coding.
Please tell me how I can make use of the Simple Insert code.

Re: What files make beta Portable look same as regular MM4?
...I discovered MM 4.1 was accessing the DB on the NAS. I do not know ...why it ignored the copy in its own directory. The only explanation I can think of is that it is somehow using the same .ini file as the 4.0 installation . You're right MarkODD, and once this so called portable version has embe...

Re: What files make beta Portable look same as regular MM4?
thanks nohitter151, that's exactly what I thought. I followed your (clear) instructions, but without touching my 4.0.7 DB. It was left alone. In fact it is on another drive. As I was only copying files I expected the installations not to affect one another. That's not the truth of it. Portable beta ...

Re: What files make beta Portable look same as regular MM4?
Add the following line to the [System] section of the .ini file: DBName=full pathfilename.DB I do not have the above added to my [System] section of the .ini file. In fact, being cautious, I ran a "Find db" and a "Find mm" before I reopened the beta MM. It found nothing of course.

Re: What files make beta Portable look same as regular MM4?
thanks nohitter151, Perhaps I didn't make myself clear I want the beta installation - in its own folder - to deal with its own library in its own space. I do not want my main library involved. This beta Portable installation should mind it's own business and leave my regular mm.db alone. Straight-aw...

What files make beta Portable look same as regular MM4?
I have just downloaded the latest MM4 beta 1625 and installed it as a portable version - in a sep folder away from my regular MM4 files. The beta is naturally without the customisation I have applied to my regular MM4. Please tell me what settings files [ini?] and script files, I need to copy where ...
