I'm trying to import only songs over 480 seconds...
But, when I check that tab in 'options'...'ignore files shorter than [480] seconds'. 'Ok', 'Import', Etc... I'm still getting a regular import with all sorts of files 4 min, 2 min etc. What am I doing wrong, gang? Thanks. P.S. Deleted library / cleared database recently, not sure if that's relevant...

Highlighting 24+ files, Win7 no option to 'play w/ MM'?
I remember having this problem before and found the solution, which now seems hidden somewhere in the archives. Anyways, when I'm puttering around outside MM on my HDs, I highlight more than 'a lot' of files, and right-click to get the 'Play' or 'Play with Media Monkey' option I just get, 'Scan w/ A...

Re: 'Play Doctor' Where is it? Why you don't have Play Docto
I have a feeling you all are being coy with me. You really don't understand JRiver's 'Playing Doctor' at all, do you? Obviously, it's got some killer code in there with multiple layers of filters and possibly a hook up to Last.fm or Discogs.com screening algorithms. But yeah, I guess I could just fi...

Re: 'Play Doctor' Where is it? Why you don't have Play Docto
Which is what you do to create an Auto-Playlist. No. It's not. Have you tried creating an Auto-Playlist? Yes. I have. There are about 15,078 options and 13 different ways to 'sort by'. I don't want any of that. It's complexity is utterly repulsive to me. I want to enter a name, press 'go'. and that...

Re: 'Play Doctor' Where is it? Why you don't have Play Docto
Yeah, you're okay, rc. MediaMonkey's okay, too. Esp the sleep function and stat report generation. But seriously why compare Play Doctor (that intelligently selects songs, based on a variety of filters, and only asks you, the lowly non-coding enduser, 'how much variety do you want?' )...with somethi...

Only a complete monkey would think Auto DJ compares to the supremely well named and exquisitely functional entity that is currently known as... PLAY DOCTOR.

'Play Doctor' Where is it? Why you don't have Play Doctor?
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Play_Doctor "Play Doctor is a Media Center feature which intelligently creates playlists or Playcharts from your library and other sources. You can find Play Doctor in the Playing Now pane when no media is playing. If it is not visible, look for two small up and...

Re: ~~~> Is there an ADD ON for 'Now Playing View'?
My issue was that 'shortcuts' was somehow disabled when I was configuring toolbar.
Also, as I expressly stated, I had to play around to figure out which of the 30 buttons would collapse da tree.
Thanks for the help though!

Re: ~~~> Is there an ADD ON for 'Now Playing View'?
Ugh. Still playing around here. Well, I found that if I change the skin, to 'virtuous', I can hit this weird forked-arrow key and 'collapse tree' Then it's just two clicks without scrolling. EDIT: and in MetroMonkey_Light it's something else entirely? I think I was confusing MM with J Rivers, which ...

I'm just lazy I guess and would rather hit one button than scroll and hit two.

Would having two external HDs of music create a problem?
Would playback be slower than with just one? Or with none?
If you're playing all of them, across 14 external HDs, randomly...how would that turn out?
Thanks.
MM is the best.
C'est fantastique!!
