Re: Copy and Swap Fields 1.0.1 [#20211]
The Add-On called "Copy Field to Field" in Mediamonkey 5 is great. Problem is that I wanted to copy the field of <Composer> to the field of <Original Artist> and that choice of <Original Artist> does not show up on the pick list. Am I doing something wrong...?

OK, that suggestion worked...!
It was actually my fault as I had the entire code string for that particular Magic Node screwed up. Starting over from scratch made it happen.
Thanks...!

Yes, I have read the text on the Split command.
It might be that I goofed it up and set it incorrectly, so I will try it again.
Thanks for the response...!

Re: Magic Nodes 4.2 w/ 380 masks & real GUI (2011-07-01)[MM2+]
Excellent suggestion, and I will try that (or some version of it). But the problem is that in that field I also have other entries that contain more than 4 letters like "VOICES_" and "PERCUSSION_" with various numbers of sub-nodes (the part coming after the underscore). I don't t...

Re: Magic Nodes 4.2 w/ 380 masks & real GUI (2011-07-01)[MM2+]
Hi Zvezdan...! A new question. I have entries in the "Quality" field of MM which read things like "KEYS_Piano" - "KEYS_Organ" - "KEYS_Sampler" etc. I can make a node where all of these are listed, but what I'd like to try is having one node where the word &quo...

Here's the code which displays the following Nodes on my tree: PORTFOLIO • (Collected Works)|Child of:Library|Filter:<Grouping> LIKE '%PORTFOLIO%'|Icon:13|Position:First child\<Original artist|Statistic:Count(Original title)>\<Title> This is an example of what is shown: Bach, J.S. (10 original title...

Re: Displaying all album tracks from one track ....
OK, I figured it out..! All I had to do was change the Magic Nodes syntaxes to place my custom nodes underneath the "Entire Library" node. Since the 'Find More of Same By Album' feature was enabled and working there, it now works for all of my nodes. Thanks for the information everyone who...

Re: Displaying all album tracks from one track ....
I don't think the problem lies in Magic Nodes add-on because I can't find the "Album" entry even on the basic nodes that do not employ Magic Nodes.

Re: Displaying all album tracks from one track ....
OK -- I don't see "Album" as a choice when I right click.
All I get on the 'Find More From Same' item is "Playlist" "Folder (My Computer)" and "Folder (Explorer)."

Displaying all album tracks from one track ....
It's hard to describe in the subject line, but here goes. Let's say I have a number of songs in my database that "feature" a certain artist. If I search by that artist's name I get a window displaying the results just like I'm supposed to. But let's say one of those songs belongs to an alb...

Re: Multiple databases
Let's start this up again -- I am one of those people who definitley would like to see the ability to switch between DB's *while* MM is running. Yes, I do use filters, but the real reason I have for wanting multiple DB's is SIZE. I am trying to manage over 100,000 music files and, at times and durin...

Re: Parsing a field...
@Lowlander -- Thanks, and again I already use the RegExp add-on -- it is great..! But it cannot help me set the mask in the Options > Playback Rules section for "Summary Rules for individual files...". As far as I can tell, that is governed by the code syntax that is built-in to mediamonke...

Re: Parsing a field...
@Lowlander -- Yes, it does -- if I wanted the entire name of the Artist. I want to pull out only the last name from the data that is stored in the field.

Parsing a field...
In 'Configuring Directory and Filename Formats' there is no listing for any type of function that will help me to parse out part of a field. For example, if in my <Artist> field for classical music I have the name: "Copland, Aaron" what I want to do is to extract the name "Copland&quo...
