Re: Genre shows numbers instead of text for many titles
I checked some respective files on the phone, they are mp3 files. (I also have m4a files.) I sync phone and computer incl. music files with Syncthing via Wifi hotspot or router. All genres are correct in all programs (incl. MM4 and MM5) on Windows 10. MMA shows for one album 9 titles with "New ...

Re: How to start MM5 with a playlist in shuffle mode? [#17174]
Hi, It should be possible to make it work with MM5, but in all case the best approach would be to Rewrite it and make new one for MM5. Maybe @Drakinite can help with rewrite. New command line is added to further enhance MM5 and its support for external execution of both Scripts and internal functio...

Re: How to start MM5 with a playlist in shuffle mode? [#17174]
Hi, WOW! My 16 years script for playlist is still working :) I guess that this can be also improved and I created https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=18453 so that MM5 existing internal feature (Right click on Playlist -> Play Shuffled) can be added/executed thru command line. Hi Peke, n...

Re: How to start MM5 with a playlist in shuffle mode?
Most of the COM API is still supported, but you'll need to instantiate it with SongsDB5.SDBApplication instead of SongsDB.SDBApplication. https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/Controlling_MM5_from_External_Applications However, I just now attempted to run that script and it led to a crash, so it might n...

How to start MM5 with a playlist in shuffle mode? [#17174]
With MM4 I used this script to start the program with a playlist in shuffle mode. The list started with a random piece and continued shuffling. Thank you for your answer.
Unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem. Of course, the ActiveX notification does not appear, but Monkey Rok behaves as if I had pressed YES.

Re: Monkey Rok 6.2 - Updated 06/07/2014
Hi, for quite a while Monkey Rok doesn't work on my system but used to do. I cannot tell when that changed because I didn't use it for quite a while. When I activate Monkey Rok I receive a pop up Windows security warning: An ActiveX element on this page maybe not secure in interdependency whith othe...

Re: shuffle mode with playlist doesn't work correctly
Could it be that last track from CD1 causes the problem? #EXTINF:4,Paulo Coelho - 68 According to the info, 68.mp3 is only 4 seconds long... MM is set by default to ignore tracks shorter than 15 seconds (Tools | Options | Library). Maybe it's scrambles up the whole thing... I had unchecked these se...

shuffle mode with playlist doesn't work correctly
Hi, I have a m3u-playlist consisting of 2 albums with together over 100 titles. The names of the titles are the same in the two albums (artist - track no.), but the file names are different, of course. In shuffle mode MM doesn't go to the second album, it shuffles only within the first one. When I s...

Re: command line option for playlists
Thank you very much, Peke. I used the script and exe-file for randomized start. It does exactly what was I was asking for. The playlist starts with a different title each time. Thank you very much! But with this script the shuffle mode switch in MM loses it's function when starting MM with the scrip...

Re: command line option for playlists
Yes, /Add just adds the playlist to the already existing Now Playing list, then /Play starts the Now Playing list at the last played title. That's exactly what those two arguments are said to do.Lowlander wrote:Have you tried using /Play after /Add?

Re: command line option for playlists
You could use the /Add parameter with an .m3u playlist file. That works with the full path name of the playlist file. It is in the imported playlists section. Thank you. Now, I am still not satisfied  Coming from Windows Media Player I used an autostart link to start the playlist automaticall...
