Depth of Library Tree

Trying to consolidate nearly 2k of scattered music files to a single drive. Brought in from several sources (Amazon, iTunes, CD.). Largely converted to mp3. I can view all these files, but the transfer has brought in a bunch of multi-level parent-child type file folders. I can't successfully play an...

Rippling through listings

I have been (bad?) moving files to consolidate to a single directory folder. I have also been trying to reduce the parent/child folder situation by pulling files from multiple albums to a single "performer name" folder. This has resulted in an inability to select the moved files. The list scans quic...

Rebuild entire database?

I've used MM for several years and lately my database is showing a large number of "ghosted" greyed-out tracks that are no longer available. The database is also referencing tracks from an older hard drive that failed. I can understand that data being retained, but I can't seem to get rid of the gho...

Revert to default skin

Applied a new skin, but it doesn't have some commands I need. I can't figure out how/where to revert to the default skin.

Re: Bluetooth no longer works with MediaMonkey

I also have this problem. I tried Lowlander's advice and see three plug-ins, but I have no idea which one to choose. Just rotate through them? mzman , did you have success? I'm using the newly applied 4.1.18.1853. on Window 10 (Media Monkey Library shows in the Settings window for Bluetooth, but not...

Delete and start over?

I mistakenly scanned in a backup copy of my major MM database. I now have nearly 800 duplicate files. I've used the find duplicates command but problem is (for example) that some of my current db entries have been converted from m3p to m3a. They properly show up as duplicates, but I have to wade thr...

Re: Experience ripping a large number of CD's for MM?

Peke, You are obviously way ahead of me, and I would call myself a beginning user. One thing I don't understand in your reply is "add all of them to MM library ...then rip. I thought I would have to rip them all to some destination (external drive in my case) and then have MM scan the rips and add t...

Experience ripping a large number of CD's for MM?

Nothing earthshaking. I have over a hundred cd's that I want to move into Media Monkey. If anyone has tips, tricks (or horror stories) about how to "gracefully" move such a large volume of material, I would be delighted to hear. Thank you very much.

Ripping confusion

I am trying to transfer content from a CD to my MM Library, without success. The problem could be clarified if I could insert a screen shot, but I do not understand how to do so in this BB. I used the Img button, but the preview didn't show anything. How is this done? This is j...

How many levels of folders can MM read?

I've been ripping disks (using MM) and sending them into a remote directory where I set up a directory structure and naming protocol to suit my needs. In some instances, the ripped tracks are four folder levels down (classical rips/russian/rachmaninoff/concerto 3). When I went to scan my work into t...

Re: Tracks into folders?

Thanks! Album folders might be a feature to consider for future upgrades. I believe I'm not unusual, as a classics fan, in the desire to often quickly locate and listen to "the whole thing" as far as a classical composition like a symphony is concerned. I appreciate your reply and I'll work with you...

Tracks into folders?

Have over 800 tracks, mostly classical. Rather than seeing each track for an album (or other grouping) I'd like to see only a folder with the album or piece name. How could I accomplish that within the database? Example: Rachmaninoff "Rhapsody.....Paganini" has 23 short tracks, but is only one piece...

Populate empty column

I added a "composer" column to my classical listing, but it opened empty. What is the proper way to populate the column?
