Re: What roles will MMS have?

Yeah, unfortunately 0.3.1 is still quite bare bones, though there are some improvements over the "released" version. Any chance the web UI might get "shuffle all" and "next track" buttons in the next few months? Having to manually queue every song makes it more proof-of...

Re: What roles will MMS have?

MMS is 'just' a server, but its UI part can be opened in any browser and it can work as a renderer then. If you do both on the same machine, you can actually have both server+renderer. It wasn't too actively developed lately, mostly because we focus on finishing MM5, but we count on it in the futur...

Re: Sync with existing files on device

Scratch that, I removed a few files from my library and tried re-syncing and it came back.

Any other ideas? I imagine <Auto Number> isn't random... right?

Re: Auto Sync Removes all files and re-syncs entire Library

Changing that setting caused the timestamps on my songs to stop changing, which stopped the massive resync.

Re: Sync with existing files on device

Probably the <Random> in your filename, the same files will sync to the device with a different filename since <Random> is used. I thought that might be it... but was hoping not. Guess it's worth testing. Will report back. Actually, it looks like <Auto Number> will basically do exactly what I wante...

Re: Sync with existing files on device

I don't think there is anything you can change in the DB to change this behavior. based on what you posted, it sounds like the tracks should not recopy since the database has not changed and neither have the track locations. Have you verified that the track locations on your phone match the destina...

Re: Auto Sync Removes all files and re-syncs entire Library

Hm, I just had a thought. I have AutoRateAccurate installed. When you play a song, it puts something in the Custom5 ID3 tag. This probably effects the timestamp on my primary machine, right? There is one field that says "Users of a portable player should disable this so that not all songs get s...

Re: Auto Sync Removes all files and re-syncs entire Library

Have you verified that the track locations on your phone match the destination directory that you set in the device config tab of the device options window? Yup, and everything shows up fine on the phone. Although in order to get it to sync to the right spot, I had to do what http://www.mediamonkey...

Re: Auto Sync Removes all files and re-syncs entire Library

I've been frustrated with this exact same problem, except there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my timestamps. I'm syncing to my phone (an LG Versa). Latest Media Monkey, Windows 7 x64. Every time it auto-syncs, it "removes old files" which really means remove pretty much everything...
