To whoever posted that, you are an idiot! Even if Morten was working slowly, you have no right to chastise him for it - it is all free to you, done in Morten's spare time (without pay). But the fact is, Morten has been doing excellent work, having already released two 'in-progress' skins (because MM...

I don't have an answer for your question, Morten, but I just had to say...AMAZING! The skin looks just incredible; I had to check it actually was the Monkey, and not a WMP11 screenshot. (Don't forget about your original design skin though, that is the one that excites me the most :D ). MM3 is going ...

I'm of the 'if it ain't broke' mentality - why do we need awards? Why do we need special groups? Espeically when they risk alienating at least part of the forums userbase. The forum as it stands now is simple, yes, but functional, and with a constant flow of ideas, help and innovation - I see no rea...

last.fm
Apologies for what I'm sure is a repost, but this forums terrible search facility gave me 40 odd pages to trawl through when I searched for last.fm. I am trying to get MM work with last.fm - I have put the winamp plugin in the MM plugins folder, but can't see what to do next. Any help?
Thanks,
Ben

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I love the name; I always call it 'my monkey' or 'the monkey' to my friends and family, it gives the program character (and a character). As I have all my music on my computer it has become synonymous with music. I say 'I'm just going to listen to the monkey for a while...

I don't see how what licence you use has to do with anything - if it were to go ahead I think it should simply be a form a recognition, with that being reward enough. Maybe the winners could add it to their sig... But would it encourage good work, or breed resentment? If someone felt they deserved a...

Hey Morten, in the name of inspiration (or maybe skinspiration?) rather than theft, here are a couple of modified itunes skins from deviantart that I like. http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/7992/mukuforitunes6byespa122ey3.th.jpg http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/1593/blackglacierforitunes7bzf1.th.jpg ...

Wow Morten, you're doing some great work with this skinning engine, I'm very impressed. I'm looking forward to seeing some more of your previewed skin (here, for those that haven't seen it: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15743). I know the player can be moved about; is it possible ...

I think that's a great idea - if there were some consensus on, say 20, 30, 50 genres, or whatever, which were implemented in the script, it would weed out the odd 'genres' (or, as you rightly say, keywords) that make the script a little too much hard work for something automatic. What do you think, ...

Thanks for the feedback, @ trix - I was thinking more of a direct access to allmusic, cutting out lastfm altogether, but maybe that isn't possible... @ easye - thanks for the tip. I had checked it out before, but wasn't in the mood to put the work it at the time. I might revisit it though. @ Nebbin ...

Hey trix, I have tried several times in the past to manually tag my files with genre, but have always given up out of frustration over my ambivalence towards the genre of a certain artist/album - in other words, I love the idea of this script! However, I tagged 5000 tracks and got 502 different genr...

Unfortunately, as many of the plugins that work with MM are not specifically designed for MM, there are no user guides available other than what you find on this forum. It is pretty straightforward once you get the hand of things though...skins go in the skins folder, plugins go in the plugins folde...

Looks great - it seems that by the time MM3 launches, there will already be a good selection of skins available. And what's more, they look far more 'professional' than 2.5 skins (although I do love the look of 2.5). I assume that the skinning capabilities for 3 are allowing you skinners a greater l...
