Re: Last.fm Playcount Import (2010-03-28) [MM3/4]

Hi there. I have adopted an approach to the "Fuzzy Logic" matching as follows. I have created a separate SQLite database, which I attach to the MM database when the script runs. It stores the full history of the Last FM played list. When it imports a new item, it fist of all looks it up on the MM da...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)

I have now been using the plugin for a while, and it's excellent, thanks! If I may, there are a few things: 1) Would it be possible to have albums that are configured as audiobooks in MediaMonkey, come through into iTunes as Audio Books, rather than as Music? That is the only aspect of the native iP...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)

I'll let you know how the rest of it goes now. Thanks Jules My initial findings: My collection is currently entirely in FLAC format, so Media Monkey is converting, as it goes into iTunes, into MP3. The main issue I am having is that on synchronisation about 25 - 30% of the tracks in iTunes are not ...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)

Hmmmm, I wonder what that 'fQuit called' is doing .... Mine looks like ... Have you got the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Songs-DB\Device\iTunes\debug switch set to 1? I have reverted the UpdateDeviceState() to it's 'as supplied' logic which I straightened out somewhat. Also initialised the isPresent ...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)

... and you never see 'Itunes installed" or "Itunes not installed" so I suspect there is an exception being raised that we are not seeing. Can I ask you to download the version I'm about to post and try again. I've added a few more. logging messages and removed the SetErrorMode function - this was ...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)

I haven't tried the debug version yet - that will have to wait until I come back towards the end of the week, but in the meantime this is how the latest release has effected me: If I place the new dll in the plugins directory, on opening Media Monkey I get a new message, after the splash screen app...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)

Please confirm your MM version. I don't believe that I make use of recently added functions but you never know. Finally out of desperation can you uninstall both MM and itujnes and then reinstall. Mark MM v3.2.0.1294 (Gold) I'm not keen on uninstalling and reinstalling, not least 'cos it was a long...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)

It exists in the registry, but has a value of 0. Is there a setting in iTunes that I can change that will set it to something different? Jules I made some changes to the parental controls, so that the registry value was changed to 32. It has made no difference - iTunes still doesn't appear in the l...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)

... I wonder if that is the problem? Can you check that you have the following registry key present. This is used as a way of checking the presence of iTunes. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Apple Computer, Inc.\iTunes\Parental Controls\UserFlags I must admit that this was chosen quite randomly a long t...

Good to have you onboard :-)

Can you tell me what version of windows you are using and are you running MM as an administrator?
Windows XP, and Yes.

I only just got my iPod, and upgraded iTunes directly from about v4. It seems to be working OK though.

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)

I have installed today's version, but cannot see iTunes as a possible device. It is also not listed under Tools / Options / Portable/Audio Devices. I definitely have iTunes installed (v9.0.2.25)! The other thing that happens with it is that when I close Media Monkey I get an error message. In the ca...
