Speaking of Google Earth... I actually got to play with the software before Google got a hold of it. I had been working with a consultant who is now a friend of mine. We were in one of my Firm's conference rooms and he told me about one of his best friends who was the owner of the company that creat...

Certainly makes for great entertainment for the rest of us! :D On a more serious note, it is actually nice to have someone post the invites. I participate in dozens of forums all over the internet and this is the first time I have seen that. Granted, you could "search" for them, but a lot ...

Julz' method does work for all "legally owned" DRM music though. Using Napster-To-Go, as Balinsky mentioned, is a music service in which you don't actually "own" the music. It would be important to note that you can't get higher quality bitrates out of this method. Sometimes, peo...

Very odd, indeed! I have installed on a few different computers to test (all Win XP), and can't get it to NOT work. Consistently works for me...

Yes you could, but the only way to do it would be to put multiple artists in the artist field and parse them out somehow. That would mean storing potentially incorrect info in your music tags (if I'm understanding what you mean).

That makes sense now... I have quite a few tracks myself, but I don't analyze for duplicates. I work a lot with my tracks in Explorer and with other apps, so I'm usually pretty aware of where I might have duplicates. That does explain it. I don't analyze for duplicates and I scan only changed time/d...

Simply a difference of opinion. I use the Startup Scan and it works great. I don't generally add music WHILE I'm using MediaMonkey because I rip with another program. I don't understand you second comment though: But in order todo so MM must be running when adding/tag-changing tracks. What you are t...

Unfortunately, I don't believe the ID3V2 specifications support what you're looking for in the Artist field (they have a field for entering other artists which includes such things as Featuring, etc.). I haven't really seen that much also. Even in many duets, the second artist is almost always consi...

Bex, MM doesn't have to be running. File Monitor will accomplish the same thing when you close and restart MM (which I would recommend doing at least every day or other day just to ensure you clean out resources on the computer and keep the performance solid). To a MOD, someone may want to combine t...

Do you mean see them immediately WHILE MM is running or just the next time you run MM? You can setup File Monitor to monitor changes to specified directories (including any drive you want to monitor). It is under Tools > Options > Library > File Monitor. If you use this for a large collection, I wou...

Just to add my two cents to the devs, please make this an OPTION, not a new way the software works. The way it is now works just fine for me. There should also be a way to restore everything to a particular view for anyone who uses it, then decides to go back or reset everything for a time. All of a...

I forgot to mention you have to watch out for your dates! MM allows you to not change the date/timestamp on the file when you edit the tags (I actually use this). But this means typical synchronization utilities DON'T WORK! If you choose to go that route and don't modify your dates, make sure you fi...

Theoretically you could do it, but if you were going to try, I would highly recommend you uninstall, then reinstall to the removable drive (backing everything up first of course). The real problem isn't the MM program files. MM stores some key information in the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_...

I'm not sure if you mean through MM or not, but I will assume not (since it doesn't support that to my knowledge). You can write a script which synchronizes the directories, or find one of the miriad scripts on the internet. However, I would actually recommend a utility called DirSync, by ArcherSoft...
