I have set up sync over wifi between desktop and android phone just fine. Is there a way to sync outside my home?

ok, it has nothing do to with MM. Same volum problem when i play a file in Windows Media Player. I guess it has something to do with the audio card configuration.

I switched minilyrics skin to 'modern', restarted both MM and minilyrics. It is working when restarted MM
