Backup Script not working

Hi Monkeys, I am using the Backup script (Trixmoto v 5.8). It seems to hang on exporting playlists: "Backup exporting m3us..." I don't see them in the backup folder, is that where they would be? Related to this I think I get an error: Script: " c:\users\OOVJ\Appdata\Roaming\mediaMonkey\Scripts\ABack...

I keep losing my preferred "bottom bar" display

Hi Monkeys, I like my audio controls bar at the bottom like the one shown here:http://www.mediamonkey.com/information/free/ on the top item (manage your media) It has relatively large controls and the mute icon with the track playing progress all on one line. However somehow I have ended up with the...

Senility finally set in?

Hi Monkeys, I have a structure for my library which is not standard. For the last nnn years I have created folders and happily put albums in the structure, adding new ones as needed. I haven't added anything for a while and today wanted to add "Morocco" in my "World" folder. BUT I can't remember how...

Re: Backup 5.8 - Updated 27/10/2010

Hi Trix,

I am on Windows 7. I have many backups and almost all have incomplete restore scripts and the MM db is reported as corrupt. What could have caused this? I have used it for years and assumed it was ok, it runs on close and reports completion.

Restore script incomplete

I have trixmito's backup utility. However I don't think it;s right since the vb script it produces looks like this: Set shl = CreateObject("WScript.Shell") Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") path = fso.GetParentFolderName(WScript.ScriptFullName) user = Replace(shl.ExpandEnvironment...

Backup not copying mm.ini

Dear Monkeys, I am using Backup 5.8. I have set it up and it works except it is not backing up the ini file. In fact it doesn't show the location but I can't edit this to add it manually. I am currently working round this by adding an additional folder to the backup. The ini file is in my Roaming fo...

Re: Backup 5.8 Activex error (Windows 7 )

Without having changed anything, other than I was allowing the backup on exit to run rather than an ad-hoc, everything is now working.... don't you hate that when it's fixed and you don't know why!!!

Thank you

Backup 5.8 Activex error (Windows 7 )

Dear Monkeys, I have a new install of MM to replace one that got corrupted. I have now added all the add=ons that I want including Trixmoto's Backup 5.8. To test that I had set it up correctly I ran but got this error: Script: [path] Line : 12 Char: 11 Error ActiveX component can't create object: So...

Re: Restore, DB malformed

Ok. Fortunately I found a not too old copy that I had on another machine so OK now. I will monitor Backup and see what is going on.

Thank you Trixmoto, I love your add-ons!

Restore, DB malformed

Dear Monkeys, I have been trying to restore my library from a backup using Trixmoto's Backup&Restore utility. Since something seems to have changed on my machine - although I can't for the life of me workout what or why - I wanted to use the files manually. I assumed that the copy of the database in...

should have mentioned that I use Windows 7, very basic with all added extras stripped out to allow for best performance.

Settings lost, restore doesn't work

Hi Monkeys, My music machine lost it's settings and thought it was a new install. I have a backup (trixmoto's), so ran restore. Even though I can see the DB & ini files are restored MM hasn't picked up the settings. My setup is a little different for backup reasons. The DB has been named to MM_Music...
