Rube Goldberg

Rube Goldberg I'm dragging Rube Goldberg into this. You guys seem to think of the Now Playing list as something else than what it is now. It is a "Now Playing" list which means that songs which are queued up in this list will be played in the order they appear in the list. You guys can cr...

MediaMonkey Screenshots

I think screenshots classify as Artwork so I started this topic here. Oka, the idea is that people post links to their screenshots of MediaMonkey in use on their computers here. I want real unique screenshots and not just plain standard installations. If you come up with amazing ways to use MediaMon...

Apple and it's policy

Apple and it's policy

Apple's iTunes music playback and organization software has support for Airposrt Express (of course it has) and uses encrypted AAC streams which it transmits to the AirPort Express device.

Some people have cracked this I guess (DVD jon anyone??).

This will be fun!

This will be fun! Okay. I have told you many times. If I'm going to do work for MediaMonkey then I will have to have a new plug-in architecture for the input, output system. Sure Winamp got plenty of plug-ins, but the Winamp architecture is waaay outdated. Nullsoft ins't what it used to be. AOL own...

Using IPC to add songs.

Using IPC to add songs. I think Winamp supports an IPC method to let external applications add songs to the playlist via IPC messages. Following taken from wa_ipc.h C header file: #define IPC_ENQUEUEFILE 100 /* sent as a WM_COPYDATA, with IPC_PLAYFILE as the dwData, and the string to play ** as the...

Grrrrrreat!

Grrrrrreat!

Is Shane Hird making his Toaster plug-in work with MediaMonkey as well?
Maybe I can get some tips from him, and finally make XFade work in MediaMonkey as well.
I usually reply to ShaneH's posts at the Winamp forums.

A few pointers

A few pointers The reason that many of the plug-ins written for Winamp does not load correctly within MediaMonkey is that MediaMonkey only implements a subset of all the IPC messages which Winamp currently supports. They will have to listen in the WindowProc for the fake "Main Winamp window&qu...

Sure.

Sure. Couldn't AMIP ( A dvanced m IRC i ntegration p lug-in) be used for this purpose. I mean MediaMonkey supports Winamp plug-ins right?? If jirij (maybe got the name wrong) implemented full support for all the title retrieval Winamp IPC messages, then AMIP will get access to this as well. And Med...

Nice idea!

Nice idea! This would be great if it was implemented. Plug-ins (given that you create a new architecture other than the Winamp one) could utilize this to add new features to MediaMonkey with more power than what scripts can offer. My XFade control plug-in for Winamp could be rewritten to use the do...

I'm willing to do localization work (Norwegian) too.

I'm willing to do localization work (Norwegian) too. I can do some parts. I have just downloaded the localization kit (may I call it that?) and will try to localize as much as I can. Maybe we can work together on this, but we need to tell each other what we are translating so we don't do each other...
