The permission problem comes up only in MM. The files play without a hitch in VLC, WMP...

I'm sure there is a really simple solution to this problem. I don't want to just give permission to the complete folder. Not that it has anything other than music files in it, but yet

Everytime I double click on any mp3 file, I get the UAC You do not have permission.

I don't want to disable UAC for all programs, but having this for every single mp3 file I'd double click in explorer is pretty annoying.

I'm using Vista & MM 3.1.0.1256

can you make it optional? so people who dont mind leaving it overnight can get all the songs tagged

Under Vista (at least) I can run multiple version of MM even with the "Allow just one instance of MM" option checked. This seems to only happen when installing extensions. I have UAC on, so I run MM as Admin and then double click the extension. This used to install the extension in the MM...

Nope.. No files in there

I just moved my music collection to another folder... and added the new folder to the library.

Now I have two entries for each song, one is a dead link (duhh).

So how do I get rid of the dead links? Without clearing the library and reloading

Doesnt work for me either, other info like "Last played" and all are syncing but not the ratings. If I modify the rating on the iPhone (2G, 2.1) it is not reflected even after manually running auto sync!

Hey, Thanks for the reply =) Yup, true the songs are rated in WMP. I was in the NowPlaying mode, by dragging the file in and for some strange reason it dint show then! But its fine now. About iPhone, I thought even with the latest MM you cannot sync songs, I tried it once, and it messed up the phone...
