Re: After Update to 4.0.5.1496: Sync always copies all files
If you sync to the root it fails too? Related: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=9266 Yes, and if sent to the root, the firmware creates a folder using the name of the ARTIST from the MP3 tag, and stores the MP3 file(s) within that folder. These files will show up in the Walkman player,...

Re: After Update to 4.0.5.1496: Sync always copies all files
Could it really mean that all music files are located flat under Music without any directory structure based on album title or whatever? Yes, that's it. Just all your files in one folder named "Music". If only it were that simple. Thanks for your assistance, nohitter. Your considerable kn...

Re: MM4 is not syncing playlists with Samsung Galaxy S2
Yeah, this is an ongoing issue for almost everybody. Apparently, if you're using the MSC/UMS/USBmass plugin (your device will show up with a Drive Letter on your computer), the playlists will always be generated as .m3u playlists. Some apps, however, insist on .pla playlists. I don't know if the .m3...

Re: Auto Converting Podcast Genre Tag to "Podcast" Before Sync?
Yeah Phadrus, I have the same situation, but without the iPhone. The problem exists for ANY mp3 player device. In my case, it involves certain podcasts ( such as Whitley Strieber's Unknown Country, or Coast to Coast AM ) that haven't implemented an RSS Feed for their podcasts. The Unknown Country po...

Re: Thanks for the bug fixes
Yes! Another big THANK YOU from a Lifetime Gold user. Version 3.2.0 now immediately recognizes my Sanza FUZE when I plug it in, instead of having to shutdown MM and restart it. Good job!
I noticed this in the 1st 30 seconds of using version 3.2.0 . What other cool stuff haven't I found yet?

Re: MediaMonkey & Windows 7
You gave me the idea-> Start->Programs-> right click MediaMonkey-> "Run as Administator" Then the script works fine... Being logged in as admin isn't enough anymore I guess... Go figure... Holy crap. It actually worked! It makes no sense at all, but it works perfectly... Thanks Steve!

Re: MediaMonkey & Windows 7
http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/Moving_MM_to_a_new_computer The above link is a Wiki on how to move MM to a new computer, which is basically what I'm trying to do on a Clean Install of Windows 7 from XP. I deleted previous partitions and installed Win 7 on "unallocated space", c...

Re: AAC auto-conversion
Simon, why bother with AAC at all? AAC is just Apple's own flavor of MP3, and has no advantage whatsoever over plain vanilla MP3. All iPods play MP3's just fine, as long as you don't exceed around 128 bitrate. I found out that 192 bitrate MP3's won't play at all, even though they play just fine on ...

Re: AAC auto-conversion
Any news on auto-conversion to AAC for syncing with an iPod? I have just set up sync with a new 8Gb nano. Worked perfectly but I'd like to sync my FLAC library to AAC on the iPod rather than MP3s. The AAC input plugin also works fine so MM can play AACs but I can't auto-convert to AACs from anythin...

I just bought a Nano and I have MM but when I put the mp3 files on my ipod, they don't show up. It says no music, no anything. Can anyone help me? (I don't have itunes, and I would rather not have to get it) This is the exact problem I had with my new Nano 4GB (new Nano's are 3rd generation), using...

RC6 works well with iPod Nano
I was having the exact same problems using MM ver 2.5. The moment MM wrote data to the iPod Nano, the Nano forgot everything it knew, even though MM could see everything fine. Once the Nano was disconnected from the PC, it simply showed "no music". Once this happens, you must fire up iTune...
