Re: MM5 not showing new tracks after rip
All ripped tracks show in the file list *except* the last track. So having the last ripped track not show in the main file listing is a minor problem and is manageable, but in the absence of persistence and patience could be seen as a product defect by new users. Hi Matt, Hi Matt, I have also seen ...

Also take a look at. Playlist Node then Select a Playlist then is the centre window (list view) select all using (for example) CTRL+A. Once All the Playlist files are selected, right click / send to / Folder (Copy)... You can then selected the Drive / Folder (and even create a new folder / sub-folde...

Re: Applying Tag Fields During Rip of CD
Hi Dazed Oblivion, Often you are "working" with the library view of the tags for a particular file. So it is important to "synchronise" the library view of the tags back to the actual file. Try having a place for new files / albums and Rip to this location and tag after this rip ...

Re: Modifying MediaMonkey Playlists with SQLite Data Browser and Python
Hi Tobias, Interesting topic. I am wondering if this code would handle the following: 1). Auto Playlists 2). Playlist Hierarchies If I recall correctly Auto Playlists can be problematic when restoring a backup of MM5.DB from another machine. Also, Auto-Playlist are "exported" as plain-vani...

Re: Find And Replace Fields
Yes this is possible within MMW5 using the Replace String add-on: https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/browse/item/replace-string-3/ But, it works for Title / Artist / Album and Album Artist. For more advanced Find and Replace in fields, you would need to use MMW4 and RegExp: https://zvezdan-d.github....

Re: Sort Autoplaylist via Comment field
Consider using "Edit Tags" / "Copy field to field" for example "Comments" to "Custom 6" Note: You can "re-name" the Custom Fields so Custom 6 could be a more meaningful text like "Annie" Create a Collection based on the Custom / Renamed Cus...

Re: Exasperated - Missing Library
Hi Jason, First take of back-up of your library using File / Manage Database. Betters still set a schedule of backup! Now you have a backup you can: Navigate to the Folders Node In the left most section of MMW5. If you expand this, can you see the location of your files and drill down to the tracks?...

Re: Add Updated To Selected By Pick List
Hi Dryst, I think this can be handled using a Collection. For "updates" I think you can use Timestamp < (hours ago) 24 (or a suitable time period for you). Then in the All Tracks display add Timestamp and sort by this column. For "additions" use Added < (days ago) 90 (or your cho...

Re: What sync profile for converting 24 bit to 16 bit when syncing to phone?
The Sony headphones are good. You will also find some resources with sample files for comparison of different but rates: https://helpguide.sony.net/high-res/sample1/v1/en/index.html Also consider a few Auto-Playlists - for example "250 Highest Bit Rate FLACs in your Library". Remember you ...

Re: What sync profile for converting 24 bit to 16 bit when syncing to phone?
Hi, I would try to find out if the phone itself has a DAC and then what the spec of the DAC is. I know some phones (often those without a 3.5mm headphone jack) rely on a USB C sound dongle. So it might be a case of looking at the combination of phone / dongle / headphone (or speakers). For example, ...

Re: Fix for I just want one artist.
From Entire Library choose the Artist sub-node. Scroll down to the "wrong" artist e.g. Ac-Dc With the "wrong" artist selected, Press F2 and you will be placed in edit mode. Correct the artist to AC/DC then press enter. Look to the status bar and wait whilst the edits are made.

Re: Umzug auf neuen Datenträger (neue ext Festplatte)
Hi Sonos, Consider using: 1). Organise with Copy Option and new destination e.g. \\Network Drive\Classical Music\<Album Artist>\<Album>\<Title> 2). Right Click / Send To / Folder Copy My opinion is 1 is better since you can have a different destination for Audiobooks / Classical / Podcasts etc AND m...

Re: Convertir la base (.db) en XML, HTML ou CSV
Hi Eric, I hope the Google translation of your question to English was good and my answer(s) OK. If you want to get a specific table from within the MM.DB into Access, then you might want to look at "DB Browser for SQLite". Open the DB file from MMW4 or MMW5 or Android Device. Browse Data ...

Re: YouTube Music
I had a 4 months free trial of Amazon Music and was able to download up to 1000 tracks a day using Sidify to fill some "gaps" and "glitches" in my collection. I have been moving from MP3 to FLAC and some of the CDs I try to re-rip had jitters etc. My library is now 92.5% FLAC. I ...

Re: YouTube Music
Hi RichieFinger, a). Sidify Not tried the You Tube version. But I found the quality of the Amazon Music to be very good (FLAC / 24 Bit / ~1500 Bit Rate). If I recall, the organisation on download can be by Playlist. I may try the You Tube version in the future and report back. b). Playlist from MMW ...
