Sounds like an inconvenient workaround rather than solved! Were you downloading via Western Digital's MyCloud app by any chance? I have music that isn't getting picked up by the MM too. I'd downloaded it from My Cloud, but then I've also moved the music from one folder to another. No no.media files....
